Page 13 - 'You didn't know did you?'

Carmen's POV

Lorenzo and I kept our gaze for a moment longer before he nodded his head towards a group of people, signalling me to follow him.

I slowly followed behind him, weaving through the crowds of people who stunk of alcohol and drugs, the smell was intoxicating.

As we approached the group, I recognised Jay and Ben standing among the group, chatting to a few other boys and two girls. One of the girls had violet hair and her nose pierced, she was wearing a cropped leather jacket and knee high boots, she was stunning. However, the other girl had bright blonder hair, almost white, her lips looked like they'd been filled up with an air pump and they were a bright shade of red. She was wearing a red cropped top to match her lips and a mini skirt that was so high up her thighs she might've well just wore nothing.

The beach blonde girl noticed us approach first, she seductively smiled at Lorenzo, which made me cringe, then she noticed me trailing behind Lorenzo, she looked at me up and down judgingly before scowling, then whispering something into the violet-haired girls ear.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure everyone plays nice" Lorenzo shouted to me over the music and cheers.

I still wasn't convinced though, I could feel myself becoming more anxious as the group all started to turn and face us.

"Hey, Enzo nice of you to show your face again". One of the boys said, while slapping Lorenzo on the back to greet him.

"Well I couldn't let anyone steal my spot could I Scott?" Lorenzo replied chuckling.

"Enzo, I've missed you" The blonde girl approached us, ignoring my presence as she stroked Lorenzo's arm and smiled at him.

I gawked at the scene unfolding in front me, for some reason I couldn't help but feel, jealousy?

Lorenzo flinched at the girls touch before stepping away from her "Not now, Beth" He grunted before turning his attention towards Jay, who was watching me intensively.

"I presume Carmen can stay with you guys till after the match?" Lorenzo asked Jay, my eyes widened. Why would Lorenzo trust Jay after what he done to me last time I was alone with him?

Jay smirked at my reaction but before he could even consider making a snarky comment to me, Lorenzo threatened, "Try anything funny again Jay I'll have you in the ring, and we both know how that ended last time, don't we?"

'Last time?' I thought to myself, 'What happened last time?'

Jay simply nodded at Lorenzo then turned his attention back to the conversation he was previously having, Lorenzo then turned his to face me "You'll be okay, wont you? I wont be too long, just stay here and I'll be back soon."

"Where are you even going?" I asked.

"You'll see." Lorenzo replied he smiled slightly, he then placed his hands onto my hips to move me gently to the side so he could get past.

I watched him walk away, then sighed and turned back to group Lorenzo left me with, they all seemed to be having there own conversation so I just stood there awkwardly, not really knowing what to do with myself.

"Aren't you a little young to be here?" the violet haired girl asked as she noticed my prescence.

Once I realised she was talking to me I cleared my throat before responding "oh- uh I'm only a year younger than Lorenzo, so not really." a hint of attitude in my voice.

"Lorenzo is one of the youngest here, so you're definitely too young." She smirked.

I sighed not bothering to respond to her judging comments, I turned my attention towards the ring, watching the two men fighting harshly, before the violet haired girl nudged me and I turned my attention back towards her.
