Violet fell to her death from a 50 story building, or did she?

Violet and Marcus had been ridding for roughly an hour, they were now near the middle of the last city.
"Now, can you please tell me Tyler's life story cause something tells me he was lying when he told me" Violet said as they settled in a broken down building laying on there jackets. "He wasn't completely lying, Mary did throw him out when he got with Nicks dad" he paused as they both stared out into the night sky. "Look" he began turning on his side Violet doing the same, "have you ever wondered why your subject X?" he asked. She thought on it for a second before shaking her head no, "you were part of a group, group X. They were doing experiments on these kids, see how they would react with different outcomes of the cure. You, Tyler, and Nick where part of this project called Project X" Violet nodded signaling for him to continue.
"Tyler was rescued from WCKED along with Nick, when Nick fled back to Mary Tyler got pissed. Mary welcomed Nick with open arms leaving Tyler out on the street for the cranks" he finished. "What powers do Tyler and Nick have?" Violet asked, "both have strength, Tyler has speed, Nick has accuracy so throwing things like knives" he said. Violet sighed laying back on her back, "your Subject X1- The leader, because your the strongest, the leader" he said to Violet with a sad smile.
"So if Tyler gets my blood he turns into The Leader, The Alpha?" Violet asked turning to look at Marcus. "Not only does he need your blood, but also the cure" Violet nodded "don't worry i trashed his stash now there's only one way to get it" he said, Violet furrowed her eyebrows "where?" she asked. "WCKED compound, the last of the cure is there" he said as he turned back to look up. "Shouldn't we destroy it?" Violet asked worried, "that's a mission for another day, for today though, go to sleep" he said as he turned his back to me.
Violet sighed as she turned her back to him, she wasn't really tired but she'd probably need energy.

Violet stirred awake as she felt herself being shaken "get up we have a long ride in front of us" Marcus muttered as he continued to shake the girl. Violet frowned as she kept her eyes closed, she made her dagger come up in the air as it was casted in a red glow. Marcus immediately got back, Violet smiled happily trying to go back to sleep. "Seriously V, we need to get to WCKED before Tyler does" Marcus said, "i don't want to go" Violet mumbled as she sat up rubbing her eyes.
"We have to, unless you'd rather have Tyler have it?" he said as Violet began to re-braid her fishtail braid. She grumbled a no before getting up picking up her yellow flannel she was wearing. "Do you think we should've gotten supplies before we left?" Violet asked as she began to dust herself. "Probably but it's to late for that, we have to drive an hour to get to the compound then we'll sneak in and get the cure. I'm sure the buildings abandoned by now" Violet nodded as they walked out to Marcus's bike.

It had been about forty minutes and they had just begun to pass by civilization, Violet guessed they were infected or else why would they still be here.
Marcus came to a stop when they had came to an opening, Violet got flash back to when she was running down these same streets. "You coming?" Marcus asked, she turned to him realizing he was already of and the bike itself was off now. "Yeah, yeah sorry i was just thinking" Violet mumbled as she quickly got off the bike patting her loose hairs down from her braid. "Cmon hopefully we'll find some dead guards" he said as he began to walk forward, Violet hesitated before she slowly began to follow.
They turned a corner as the WCKED compound or at least what's left of it, Violets heart began to raise as she got closer.
Violet turned another corner as she ran down a line of buildings, her breathing was heavy. She leaned onto a building catching her breath as her chest began to heave.
Violet trailed behind Marcus as they took another turn, this was the main road that took them to Newts body. She stopped as Marcus kept walking, he turned realizing she wasn't following anymore. "Is something wrong?" Marcus asked from in front of her, but it was all blurred out, she felt like she was underwater.
As Violet got closer she saw two bodies, one crouched over another as the other laid down. Violet ran closer only stopping when she realized who it was. When she saw it she felt a pounding in her skull as she fell on her knees letting a scream. All the windows shattered as a large sonic wave was blasted from in her, she crawled closer to be met with the sight of a dead Newt lying down his mouth slightly ajar.
"Violet?" Violet was being shaken by Marcus, "are you ok?" he asked as he held her face in her hands. He had gotten closer when he realized Violets breathing was getting heavy, and he's had multiple to realize it was a panic attack.
Violet was distracted on his touch as she slowly nodded her breathing going back to normal. "What's wrong?" he whispered scared to make her go off again. "I- Newt he- he died here" she said slowly tripping over her words. She was sure if she saw him again it break her all over again, Marcus turned looking around on the group before turning back to Violet. Then the most surprising words came out of him mouth, "there's no one here" Violet immediately turned to where she last saw Newt.
He wasn't there anymore.
