Subject X1- Lost

CHAPTER 9

-FALLING ALL OVER AGAIN-

"I woke up the next day, i'm not sure to this day how i survived"

Violet sat across from Newt next to Marcus as they both listened to Newts story to how he got here.

"I think it might have been Thomas's blood on the knife, i pulled it out and came here to try and find the cure. When i found it i took it and ended up  here for a couple days" he finished looking up at both Violet and Marcus. "Now what about you guys?" he asked, Violet took a deep breath trying to put all the pieces together.

"Well after i found you i cried, uh- i found out Thomas went to go turn himself in. I went to get him while Minho went with Brenda" Violet paused as she replayed Newts body on the grounds, tears pooling in her eyes. "Hey it's ok take your time" Newt said as he rested his hand on Violets knee.

Violet nodded continuing "i found Thomas with Theresa and Janson, i killed Janson and helped Theresa get on the roof with Thomas. We got Thomas on the berg and at that point i was tired, after a building collapsed on the one we were on it was about to take us with it. I saw the way Thomas looked at Theresa, no matter how much he hurt her he was still worried about her" Violet paused looking up at Newt with a sad smile. "And let's face it after i basically threatened his girl he hated me, who wouldn't i was a bitch. God i couldn't even apologize to Aris i had Theresa do it before i threw her on the berg as the building collapsed"

Violet took a deep breath before letting out a humorless chuckle "of coarse death was to good so i woke up  in a building of ash and toxic smoke. Marcus found me i almost killed him, he took me to Tyler my evil twin who was living in a warehouse with a bunch of creeps" Violet shuddered at the memory.

"Turns out he wanted to drain me of my blood so he could become the alpha. Me, Tyler, and Nick are apart of Cure Trial X which is why i'm X1. Marcus helped me escape then we came here to destroy the cure" Violet paused turning to Marcus "did i miss something?" Violet asked.

Marcus nodded "well except for the fact i know how to play drums" Violet finished with a smile. Newt nodded while he tried to think, which cause Violet to look down laughing.

She stopped when she heard the screeching of tires, she looked up realizing the boys hadn't notice that. "Do you guys hear that?" Violet asked bringing a finger up to the air, both boys furrowed there eyebrows as Violet got up walking to the window. She looked into the distance to be met with three trucks speeding down the main road that led to the compound "shit" Violet muttered turning around.

"We've got company" she said as she quickly walked to the metal cabinets with the cure trials. She quickly shoved them on the ground shattering the tubes. "We've gotta go come on" Violet said as she quickly yanked both boys pushing them out of the room. Her eyes glowed red as she sent a quickly fire ball as the whole room went off in flames.

"Cmon" Violet said dragging them up to the staircases, "where are we going" Newt asked panting as they got closer to the exit on the roof. "Just hurry" Violet said as she heard footsteps below them that didn't belong to the boys.

When they finally got to the top which was all broken hardly standing Violet helped them to the edge. "V?" Marcus asked in a worry tone, just as they reached the edge the door slammed open as guys filed in. "Trust me, ok?" she asked looking at both boys, they both quickly nodded. She gave them a soft smile as she turned back to the men in front of her, she sent them a smirk before she fell backwards.

The boys turned to look at each other before they both jumped after her.

As Violet fell from the roof she got sudden deja vu from the night Newt had died, or she thought so at least. Violets eyes glowed red as she caught both herself and the boys landing on her feet.

Violet looked up seeing the men peering over the edge, she sent them a wink before turning and bolting towards the trucks. Marcus and Newt huffed as they realized more running, they both bolted after Violet.

Violet quickly turned on the ignition thinking how stupid those guys were to leave the keys, she looked at the dashboard as the guys quickly caught up Newt jumping shotgun which Violet thought was ironic. She found some sunglasses quickly putting them on before speeding off in reverse. She hardly took a glance back before pushing the steering wheel to the side causing the truck to harshly turn one way.

She quickly put the truck in drive before speeding off letting out an excited woop. That's when Newt turned to the girl he had fallen in love with.

And it's like he fell in love all over again.
