The winter break flew by, and Moony and Ivy took their leave after Christmas Day was over and returned home to Sirius to wait out the rest of the break.
Moony gave her a hug and reminded her to be careful and write to him and snuffles, before she pushed through the barrier and made her way onto the train.
Ivy saw Lucas sitting alone when she got into the Hogwarts express and sat beside him. "Hello" she said, smiling.
"Oh, hello, Why are you here?" He asked.
"You looked lonely, if you want me to leave, I will." She got up.
"No wait, it's ok." He looked up at her, His blonde curly hair was back to normal, and his chocolate brown eyes weren't dull anymore.
"Had a good Christmas?" She asked him.
He smirked, "it wasn't bad." They sat in awkward silence for a while before Lucas looked over to her. "How did you know that I was a werewolf?" He asked.
"Can you keep a secret?" She looked over at him, he nodded, "Do you happen to know Remus Lupin?" He looked down, then back up, "Wasn't he a defense against the dark arts teacher a few years ago?" Ivy nodded. "He's a werewolf, I know that, but he taught at hogwarts before we got here." He said, Ivy nodded again.
"Is he your dad!?" He asked, exasperated. "Uh, no. He's my uncles boyfriend and his best friend. He's also my guardian." He looked surprised. "Probably wasn't the answer you expected is it?" She smirked.
A month later, February rolled around. February always seemed to be the most dramatic month, couples breaking up with each other loudly in the halls, boys sheepishly asking girls to go to hogsmade with them for Valentine's Day, the month seemed to make Ivy laugh. That is until a week before the Valentine's Day hogsmade visit, when Dennis came up to her, blushing. "Hey, I-Ivy. Do you wanna gotohogsmadewime?" He asked. She smirked. "Dennis we always go together," she replied evasively. In reality, she'd been contemplating asking him, but then had regards for another friend... Marie was also getting to her, she liked them both, and it annoyed her as she thought about which one of them to ask out.
Writers note: I'll save you the annoying "which one shall I choose" trope, they're actually polyamorous so Marie, Dennis, and Ivy will all be together :)
He facepalmed himself, "gah... you're smarter than this, you know what I'm asking." He whined.
Ivy laughed, "I'm messing with you, sure I'll go." She watched him leave and spent the rest of the day thinking about Marie. She tossed ideas back and forth before a new thought invaded her mind during dinner as she watched the two of them.
