Ivy's magic;book 3; the forbidden forest

The battle

"This is just like the D.A meetings" Luna Lovegood was saying as they ran down to the Room of Requirement. Ginny smiled and Ivy laughed at the thought of it. Ginny had insisted on bringing Luna for back up.

They suddenly heard a commotion and Ivy instinctively hid behind a statue, Ginny and Luna following in pursuit. The hall filled with darkness and Ivy couldn't see anything. She closed her eyes and attempted to detect who's thoughts suddenly filled the corridor. Luna, Ginny, and... Ah, that's who she was looking for.. Draco. But their were others, Bellatrix, Macnair, Rookwood, and others she didn't recognize.

Fred and George really need to start paying attention to who their selling too. Ivy found herself thinking. She shifted into a dog before she could detect them rounding the corner, closing herself closer into the shadows of the armor, She recognized the instant darkness powder from Fred and George, having received some herself for her birthday.

Eventually, she detected them rounding the corner as the darkness powder dispersed. She shifted back, Ginny looked shocked, as Ivy had only just remembered that she had never told them about it, and yet, Luna knew about it. "Right I'm an Animagus, but we can discus that later, lets go." 

Ivy dashed down the hall, and she found herself praying that none of the death eaters saw her in her Animagus form, she found that was something she had an upper hand with in combat. She, Luna, and Ginny rushed down the Grand marble staircase and Paused, Ivy was surprised to see Moony standing there along with several other order of the Phoenix  members standing in the entry hall. A few feet away from Moony were Tonks and Kingsly, casually talking, as if nothing was wrong, as if there were no death eaters in the castle.

They must not know Ivy thought, running up to Moony. She now saw that the rest of the group consisted of, Mr. Weasly, Mrs. Weasly, Bill, Fleur, Mad eye, Fred, George, and, (much to Ivy's dislike) Mundungus, who looked on the verge of apparating away even though you can't apparate or disapparate on Hogwarts grounds.

"Moony! Harry was right, Draco was a death eater, he managed to bring death eaters into the castle, we thought they came down here to fight you guys!" then she slowed down, "wait, why are you guys here?"

Tonks was the first to answer, "D'you really think that Dumbledore would go on such a big trip and not have at least some of the order members looking after Hogwarts?" But Moony was concerned, "Not now, There are Death eaters in the castle, we need to go looking for them-" He was cut off by a flash of red light, it barely missed Mundungus, who yelled in surprise and bolted out the doors and out of the grounds. "Or" said the voice of Bellatrix, "We could find you first"

Ivy was the first to react, "Petrificus Totalus" She shouted, aiming at Bellatrix, who narrowly missed but still fell backwards in the process. The deatheaters spilled out behind her and she suddenly caught a whiff of something that made her feel nauseous, at first she thought it was a spell, before seeing a man with clothes torn to shreds and covered in blood.

The werewolf leaped towards Moony, but Ivy shot a well aimed stunning spell at him and he froze in mid air and dropped to the ground. "Nice aim" He said, "I assume you two know each other?" Ivy asked, panting. "Yes, that's Feneir Grayback, He's the one who bit me." Ivy nodded swiftly before jumping back into battle.

She was able to hit Macnair with another Slug vomiting charm. "That'll teach you to like murdering innocent Hippogriffs" Ivy laughed, as a large slug spewed out of his mouth. By this time, more people had joined in on the battle, Ivy watched as some of the death eaters began to crowd towards the staircase leading to the astronmy tower, Bill and Feneir dueled on their way up, and Ivy only caught a glimpse of Snape and Draco going up as well before being nearly being hit in the back by a stunning charm.

She whirled around to see Bellatrix laughing manically and aiming another charm, this time at Tonks and Moony. "Protego!" Ivy exclaimed. She continued to lead Bellatrix into an empty classroom, I have to distract her Ivy thought, I can't let her actually kill anyone else I care about, she aimed another stunning spell at Bellatrix.

They dueled more and Ivy eventually managed to lead Bellatrix into an empty classroom, away from the main fight.

Bellatrix laughed and shot a spell at Ivy that caused ropes to come out of the end of her wand and wrap painfully around Ivy. She fell to the ground with a dull thud, and glared at Bellatrix.

"Go ahead" She scowled, "Kill me, I welcome death" Bellatrix chuckled yet again, "Oh you poor, stupid child, you remind me of your uncle, Oh it's a shame that I killed him." She twisted her wand around in her hand before proceeding, "You see, I'm not allowed to kill anybody today unfortunately" Ivy sneered and replied, "What about rookwood, If you aren't allowed to kill anybody, then why did he kill another death eater?" Once again, Bellatrix laughed, Can she react any way else? Ivy thought to herself. "Oh that was just for distraction, no, that other guy was disposable, Only one shall die tonight."

That last phrase was hauntingly familliar, But why? She had never heard anybody say that before? "You won't get Harry, He's to well protected." Ivy snapped defiantly. "What makes you think we're here for itty bitty Harry?" She asked. "I can do whatever I like to you, so long as I don't kill you. what should  I do? I heard you'd be strong enough for the imperius curse, with that stupid little mind trick of yours... Ah, yes, I know..." Without warning she turned to Ivy and uttered, "Crucio"

It was pain beyond anything Ivy had ever thought possible, A million images flashed through her mind, some she had never even seen before, she saw Eucalyptus dissapearing in a clash with a dementor, Sirius falling through the veil that she assumed had killed him, Ryan, the muggle brother figure that had died long before she found out she was a witch, getting killed in a car wreck, Her mother dying.

These images repeated in her head, While she heard Bellatrix laughing her deranged laugh in the backround. She didn't scream, she wouldn't give Bellatrix that satisfaction, but tears slid out from her eyes as she watched everybody she had ever loved die, she saw the bodies of those she cared about lying in a pile, both dead and alive, She couldn't stand it, she wanted to die, she wanted to scream stop, when the pain eased.

She was still numb, but Bellatrix had stopped laughing, Instead she heard voices, "Bellatrix, He's dead, the job is done, leave your toy here, we have to go before the order can catch up." It was Snape. "But- I was having so much fun, she almost screamed!" But Snape's order was clear, "Bellatrix, we must go now."

Ivy opened her eyes, they were stinging from the tears, but she looked, Draco was milk white and he looked frightened at the sight of Ivy laying tied up on the floor, Her silvery white hair was glowing in the moon light filtering through the windows of the class and her light purple eyes were filled with pain and fear. She wanted to whisper help, the ropes were cutting into her wrists, and he genuinely seemed sorry for her, but she couldn't bring herself to speak.

She watched them leave her as if she was nothing more than a toy that a toddler had gotten tired of playing with.
