Katrina's P.O.V.
The Alpha team consisted of me, Piers, and Captain Redfield. It was just the three of us, like old times. Chris had gotten word from HQ that there were more bio-terroristic attacks going on in a fairly secluded city south of us.

In a small amount of time we found ourselves jumping out of a helicopter onto a tall building. It was easy for anyone to see that this city was in need of serious help. J'avos ran through the littered streets alongside other creatures I've never seen before. There must be a new strain of the virus. Just great.

Captain immediately started telling us of what we were doing here.

"This should be a relatively quick mission. There were some important things left in a small BSAA base, and it is imperative we retrieve them before anything else" he continued, "This is as far as the helicopter can safely get us, the items are over on the top floor of that building."

Miles separated the building from us. This definitely will not be a quick mission.

We used the fire ladders on the side of a building to get down safely. We were met by a few j'avos, but killing them was nothing.
Our team slowly paced out of the alley and in to the streets. It was too late to help these poor people. Most of them are inhuman by now.
The sound of bullets being shot rung out from my left side. Instinctively I ducked and rolled, easy turning and shooting the monster between the eyes.

We continued to move throught he streets and alleys until dark.

"We should find a place to rest, safety will be scarce when we move in to the heart of the city" I said.

I don't know why we always look for safety and refuge on missions. It hardly matters because, honestly, just being in more than half the places we go, is a death wish.

"Captain, I think she's right."

"Fine," Captain stated roughly "Lets head in here."

We climbed the stairs to the ninth floor of a seemingly stable building, only encountering a herd of four or five j'avos.

The attack was a bomb set in the heart of the city, sending the virus into the air and a few miles of the surrounding area. Out here things were hardly as bad as they would soon be.

"Who's taking first watch?" Piers' voice echoed through the empty office building. Yet he made my heart flutter.

"I'll do it Piers, you two catch up."

I silently thanked Captain for taking first watch. We were all tired, but I need to be with Piers now.

We laid down on the hard floor, close enough so we could have a conversation.

"Piers, I heard what happened and I don't understand how you ever made it out alive or with an arm."

"After I sent Chris off in the pod, I started to regain control a bit. I saw Haos attack Chris, so I hit one last strike. From then all I remember is the base exploding, swimming away, and waking up on the sand surrounded by people."

"Do you still have any power?" I whispered the last part, "Like me?"

"I'm not sure yet."

Soon we were both sound asleep, but it sadly didn't last very long. An unknown mutated thing climbed the steps as I awoke. Before I could react it grabbed me and took me back to where it came from. The boys were asleep, yelling was hopeless.

"You ran the first time, and I wasn't finished with you!" Wesker yelled at me. How did he find me again. He can't test on me again, I've suffered enough already. I felt like all the oxygen in the small, concrete room was gone.

"This time I won't bother trying to kill you, I'll just see if your mutations are still active."

I woke up gasping and sweating in Piers' arms. It was only a nightmare. The testing is in my past, I'm ok now.
