No ones POV

It has only been a week after the frontdoor incident with Sans as Livie was still upset about it, the only problem is that Sans couldn't understand why! He explained everything towards Gaster and Papyrus, hoping he would get at least some clue as to why she was still upset by this. It didn't go the way he planned as Gaster was quick to forgive him and even telling him to apologize for his behaviour a little later, Papyrus on the other hand scolded him for his terrible behaviour as even he should have known that Livie only wanted to help out of concern for Gasters wellbeing. However even after scolding Sans, he couldn't deny that it was strange how she took this very personally, so much so that Papyrus decided to confront her about it. But he didnt know how to, until he saw Livie going outside for an early morning jog. He immediately went outside and followed her as she was jogging towards the nearby park "hey livie!" he shouts out as she stops and turns around "oh hey papyrus!" she sais cheerfully but even he could see that Livie had cried and the all too familiar bags underneath her eye sockets told him a lot of things as it even reminded him of his own brother. "so what brings you here?" she asks as Papyrus snaps out of his thoughts "ah well i came to apologize for my brother's behaviour, what he said was very unnecessary. you just wanted to help our father, did you not?" he asks as Livie avoids eye contact for a little bit before looking back up at him "it's fine...i got over it already and yess i only wanted to help him" Papyrus knew she was lying to him, just like his brother would do if there was something wrong. He didn't know why but her behaviour right now resembled his brother more than ever "a-anyway i'm going back to my jog...you wanna come along?" she asks a little nervously "of course i would love that" he replied as he joins her. Papyrus knew that if he pressured her that she would just do whatever Sans did in the past, so he decided to drop it for now and just talk about other things. But he couldn't help but feel hurt that she wouldn't tell him what was bothering her, the more he thought about it the more memories of him confronting Sans would appear. To the point he almost ran into a tree if it wasn't for Livie pulling him aside "woah! Be careful oke? I don't want you to get hurt while jogging" she was a little worried but Papyrus smiled "nyeh heh i will be careful, do not worry about me" and so they continued to jog.

~A long jog later~

They sat on a bench resting as Livie pulled out a small water bottle from her pockets and started to drink from it before asking Papyrus "do you want some too?" but Papyrus didn't respond, in fact he was staring up at the sky as tears fell down his own cheekbones. She gets up in worry as she stands in front of him "p-paps? Hey what's wrong paps? Please answer me!" he still didn't reply as this scared her, she gently placed her hand onto his arm to shake him lightly "papyrus!" she calls out as he suddenly snaps out of it. He finally looked at her as she was slightly trembling from how scared she was. She sighs in relief as he finally acknowledges her, but he suddenly pulled her into a sudden hug. Livie was confused but placed her hands onto his back and gently rubbed his back "livie, why can't you tell me what is wrong with you?" he suddenly says as Livie's eye sockets flew wide open. "I...i...y-you shouldn't..." she did not know what to say to him as he tightened his embrace "WHY CAN'T YOU OR SANS TALK TO ME ABOUT THESE THINGS!!" he suddenly blurts out. His reaction made her realize this was about something more than the recent situation "paps...do YOU want to talk about it?" this reply shocked him the most as nobody ever had asked him that, he continued to cry "ssh, it's fine paps. take your time" she kept comforting him hoping he would at least be able to get a load of his chest. Papyrus suddenly let's go of her as she looks at him "are you feeling better now?" "no...why must you and sans carry everything by yourselves, you have friends and family that care about you and want to be there for you...dont you see that?" Livie was taken back by his reply as she sighs "this isn't about me, is it now? It's about sans" she suddenly sais as Papyrus looks away "papyrus...you're doing exactly like me and sans are doing now, if you truly want any of us to speak up then you need to set an example!" she raises her voice at him, which she never intended for but it happened nonetheless. Papyrus sighs and looks back at her "you are right...i wanted you to tell me what is wrong...but instead i am the one who's shouldering things on my own" Livie then sat next to him once again ready to listen to him "you see back in the underground we used to live peacefully, except for sans. he would always harbor everything inside of him and i would ask him what would be the matter, but he would fake a smile and say everything is fine...but i know it was not. but ever since the humans and the little prince explained what they did...memories that were erased started to appear and i remembered so many times that he did explain it to me, but i thought he had lost his mind or he was dreaming all of it...i made him suffer more than he should have" he places his face into his hands as he kept sobbing "i know this is hard papyrus but none of this is your fault, you can't help it if the reset magic had erased your memories until now. you did not intentionally mean to hurt sans this way and i sure as hell know that you love him to bits" Livie replied. "Yess...but as his brother i should have believed him, not push him further away from me as if he was some sort of insane monster...." Papyrus sais with a guilt laced tone "look i get it, i really do. But you have to stop blaming yourself for this, reset magic is very unpredictable and i'm honestly shocked that sans even remembers all of it" Livie replied as Papyrus looks at her confused "what do you mean by that?" "well you see, normally this sort of magic erases the memory like you said. But what if sans built up a sort of immune system against the magic, which in turn makes him remember ever run and every reset ever made. But the real evil doer in this is the reset magic, even though he might've become immune to it regarding the memory erasing aspects it has, but not the emotional and tiring toll it can have on ones soul" Livie explained as her explanation made something klik inside of Papyrus's mind "so that's why he napped a lot more then before" Livie nods "so you see, it's not your fault. But perhaps you need to talk with sans about this privately, since he's your brother and all". Papyrus sighs deeply "i will try but i do not know if it will help" "why not?" Livie asks curiously "you see i...i am having these nightmares of previous bad resets and what happened in them...i am afraid that he will try to change the subject or to run away..." "well you could ask gaster to help you out if that's the case" Livie replied "y-you are right, i am not alone in this and i know we will get through this together as a family" Papyrus sais with such confidence that it made Livie smile, knowing he would be oke. "But there i do have one question though" he sais as he diverts his gaze towards Livie "sure, hit me" she replied nonchalantly "how do you know all of this stuff?" he proceeded to ask as Livie wanted to reply that question but instead she received a flashback of her past as it was short and quick but still enough to scare her down to the bone "i...i had alot books to read" she then said as it was clearly a lie. Papyrus didn't even notice she was lying as he forgot why he came to see her in the first place, only to remember when he got home. For Livie though, when she came back home, her mind started to plague her with sounds and voices of the past. She then went for her golden liquid again and took a rather large gulp from it. She desperately wanted those memories to stay buried in her mind as she herself didn't want to ruin what she had by reminding the others about the past, a past she rather wants to forget like they did. She would be lying if she said she didn't envy them for not remembering them...or atleast envy Gaster for not even being bothered by it. No matter, she took a rather large sip from her golden liquid, she would be fine right?
