The older boy runs a hand through his dark hair as he feels the sensation of the blazing fire envelop his body in a comforting warmth, bringing peace to his mind. He loved watching the fireplace lit up. It reminded him of his home back in Busan, where he lived his childhood happily with his parents. With both of his parents.

He smiles sadly. Oh, how much he missed those days. His new home didn't have a fireplace, nor did it have the same comfort his old house provided. But he knew the only reason it felt like that was because his dad wasn't as present anymore.

"Dad... I wish you were here. I miss you." Jimin whispers to himself, a small pout forming across his lips.

"Hey."

He lifts his head, meeting his best friend's gaze and kind smile, immediately bringing back a little bit of happiness to his soul.

"I got you a blanket, since you looked cold." Taehyung says shyly, sitting down next to the older on the floor in front of the grey couch placed right in front of the fireplace.

Jimin blushed a little as Taehyung sat close to him and quickly uttered a small 'thank you'.

The two sit in silence for a moment, enjoying the warmth brought to their bodies by the fire. Jimin subtly glances at Taehyung from the corner of his eyes, quietly watching as the younger's dark brown eyes reflect the blazing flames. It was unfair. Taehyung was so goddamn pretty, it sometimes hurt Jimin just by looking at him. The way the red fire contrasted his soft blue hair and highlighted his facial features in all the right places... Jimin really could just stare at this boy for the rest of his life and he'd die happy knowing he got to breathe the same air as this guy.

Taehyung was just... So surreal. Jimin still couldn't believe he has actually been with this boy for years since they were kids. He can't believe he's been in love with Taehyung for so long... Yet hasn't had the courage to say a single word to him about it.

And now, someone else had stolen him away.

Izumi... As much as Jimin hated him for literally everything, he couldn't deny the facts presented to him. Izumi liked Taehyung. Taehyung liked Izumi. It was obvious, really. I mean, they wouldn't be kissing each other if they didn't, right?

"... What's happening to us?" The older softly muttered, snuggling into the warm blanket wrapped around his body.

Taehyung feels something poke at his heart, something sharp, cold and painful as he looks back into the shorter boy's eyes. That look... Taehyung can't quite tell what it means, but the sensation it gives him isn't pretty.

"I..." He trails, thinking of words to say. "I don't know." He says.

Jimin still has that look in his eyes, and all Taehyung can do is look away, feeling as if he kept staring too long into those eyes, he'd end up dying from a heart attack.

"We used to be with each other all the time. I know that now that I have to focus more on my practice we haven't really had as much time together as before, but still. It's like..." He sighs and then turns his head to face the taller. "You're right here, sitting by my side. Yet it feels like you're so far away I can't even reach you." He whispers, his tone carrying sadness.

Taehyung bites his bottom lip, almost in shame as he takes another glance at his best friend. Jimin was right. They were getting distant from each other. And that shouldn't be happening.
