DANGER: DO NOT TOUCH!
Namjoon stared at the big, bright warning stamped into the leather cover of the old book, written with dark, black ink in messy letters. Whoever this book had belonged to, they sure had terrible handwriting.
Yesterday, Namjoon would've picked it up without a question, in desperation, to help his friends out and expell that dark entity who insisted on using Taehyung's body for his own malice purposes.
After his talk with Yoongi at the cemetery, though, Namjoon wasn't so sure what to do now.
The book was right there. The answers could very much be at his disposal if only he just summoned the damn witch. But he wouldn't meddle with it. Not after Yoongi begged him, with those eyes, not to.
Frustrated, he leaned back against the wooden chair, taking a deep breath. He could try to convince him, try to reason with him and show him they really had no other option. Yoongi was a smart guy, though. He wouldn't cave in easily to the idea. If he couldn't summon the witch, Namjoon would have to come up with another plan.
But time was running out. Every day, V grew stronger; feeding on Taehyung's emotions and sucking the energy from his soul. Slowly, Taehyung would eventually start to lose parts of himself.
Namjoon had to do something. Anything.
"Fuck!"
In an angered daze, the vampire throws the materials off his desk, books flying and glass objects hitting the ground with shattering force.
It calms the raging fire within him down a bit, strangely enough.
"... Seems like I've caught you in a bad moment." He hears a soft mumble and perks up at the boy standing by his doorframe.
His breath hitches. "Yoongi."
The other throws him a concerned look, eyes so incredibly soft Namjoon has to look away.
"You okay?" Yoongi asks with care.
The vampire lets out a sharp breath, his eyes glancing quickly to the books scattered all over his dirty floor. "Never better." He tempts.
A warm hand catches his wrist and Namjoon's gaze lifts to meet the other's.
"You sure?"
He stares at him for a moment, swims in the soft waves of his gentle words and questions if he stayed long enough, would he be able to drown in it. His mind mocks him. Let it go, dumbass. he scolds. He's not yours anymore.
"Yeah, I'm fine." He looks down and pulls away from the older's grip. It feels empty. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up.
"You're being weird." Yoongi blurts out. Namjoon freezes.
"I'm not." He defends, shares a quick glance with the other and looks away just as quickly. "Your presence just confuses me."
Yoongi snorts. "What does that mean?"
Namjoon gives him a look. "You're the one who kept giving me shit when I brought here last time. Isn't it too dirty for your royal ass?" He ridicules with ungraceful hand gestures, solely for the purpose of entertaining himself.
The other rolls his eyes in what seems to be annoyance, offence, maybe.
"Why are you here, Yoongi?" He finally asks.
