Finally, the school bell announced the end of classes for the day. Jimin sighed in relief, Taehyung doing the same beside him. The two share a giggle and quickly gather their stuff to head out.
"Hey, Minnie, are you free this weekend?" Taehyung asked with an excited smile.
The older tilted his head to the side, pondering. "Yeah, probably. Why?" He honestly couldn't help but blush a little. If he didn't know any better, he'd say Taehyung was about to ask him out on a date. Yeah, yeah, just him and his delusional ass hoping for the impossible but hey, everyone can dream.
Taehyung's boxy smile brightens up even more, giving Jimin a small heart attack because of his cuteness.
"I was thinking we could have like a sleepover? My family has that cabin outside the city, near the lake, remember? We used to spend a lot of time there when we were younger and I just thought... Since school year is almost over and we'll soon be overwhelmed with study for the final exams, we could use the break." Taehyung shyly suggests. "So... What do you think?"
Jimin just about has an actual heart attack.
Spending time with Taehyung? In an isolated cabin in the middle of nowhere? Without any parent supervision? Just us two?!
"YES! I'd love that!" He exclaimed immediately.
Okay, he may have sounded a bit too excited for that...
"I-I mean..." He cleared his throat, blushing like a tomato. "Yeah, that'd be cool."
Taehyung chuckles at his soulmate and nudges his arm playfully as the two make their way out of the classroom. As they walk side by side in the hallway, the older feels something touch his hand and quickly looks down. He blushes, seeing that Taehyung's hand was lightly brushing against his. Jimin has the sudden urge to grab it and interlock their fingers, but he hesitates. He'd rather save such a precious moment like that for when they're out of this shitty place. Not to mention, people would probably stare.
Yet, the feeling lingers. Jimin ends up biting his lip, trying to control himself. But in the end, he gives in a little and decides to subtly link his pinky finger with Taehyung's.
His face is burning red. And somehow, he knows that Taehyung's is too.
He's happy, though. It seems like Taehyung had finally stopped avoiding him and the two had started to spend more time together. He hasn't even seen Taehyung hanging out with Izumi lately. Jimin was loving every second of it, honestly. He wouldn't trade all these small moments for anything else in the world. All the butterflies in his stomach would agree. Fuck, he's really a lost cause, isn't he?
"...Tae?" The older softly whispers as the two are finally exposed to the blazing sun of the outside world. Taehyung looks at him, expecting him to continue, but Jimin is rendered speechless when he sees the younger's face shine under the sunlight. Wow... Taehyung looked so handsome. Jimin could honestly stare at this boy for the rest of eternity. It's just the way that Taehyung can look so effortlessly attractive without even doing anything... It drives Jimin crazy. He quickly shook the thoughts to the back of his head, trying to focus on what he wanted to say. "Hum... I-"
"Hey, Jiminie!"
The raven haired boy turns to the sound of his name being called out, recognizing almost immediately the voice that interrupted him.
Taehyung looks too and his smile immediately drops.
"Jungkook, hi!" Jimin politely greets, waving back at the older man.
