"Thank you for meeting me here." Jimin shyly said, smiling up at the taller.Jungkook smiled back, nodding his head. "Of course."
The two were walking side by side in the park, wandering through the small paths. The lights were slightly dim, but they were enough to illuminate the way. There were still a few people walking around, most just to walk their dogs and take a nocturnal jog.
Jimin loved this park a lot. Maybe half the reason why had to do with the fact it was the place where Taehyung came out to him years ago. Though, he'd never admit it out loud.
"I'm sorry for calling you out so late in the night, but I really needed someone to talk to." He looked down at the floor, a little embarrassed to look up at Jungkook. "I probably made you get out of your comfortable bed and made you get dressed just to meet me so I'm sorry about that..."
He feels a hand touch his chin, and seconds later, Jimin's eyes are meeting Jungkook's equally brown ones and a blush appears on the younger's cheeks.
"I told you I'd be here for you if you needed. And I usually like to keep my promises." Jungkook said in a low tone, like a whisper, smiling lovingly at the other.Unlike someone else, apparently.
They held each other's gazes for a little longer than necessary, and the younger had to tell himself to look away because otherwise he'd just get stuck looking into Jungkook's alluring eyes forever.
"Thank you... Seriously." Jimin said, returning the smile.
The two kept walking along the path for a while, talking and sharing information about themselves, getting to know each other well. Jimin learned Jungkook also came from Busan, which was a nice surprise. He also learned how they somehow went to the same elementary school but since Jungkook was older, they never ended up crossing paths back then. It's strange how destiny brought them together now.
"So, wait a second... You're saying you used to dream of being an astronaut when you were a kid? And you actually got into a real spaceship?! That is amazing!" Jimin exclaimed, mouth open wide, amazed by Jungkook's story.
The older chuckled shyly and looked away. "Please don't bring that up. I ended up throwing up all over the ship and they had my parents pick me up before the school trip even ended." He says. "It was embarrassing, okay?"
Jimin was laughing so much he had to hold his stomach in fear he'd explode from so much laughter. Truth was, Jimin had never laughed like that with someone he just met. Jungkook was a stranger, yet he didn't feel like one. The younger was having a blast spending time with him and honestly, he didn't want that night to end."Oh my god, you're too much! I would've loved to meet eight year old you." He says, still trying to control himself from laughing.
Jungkook grinned. He found himself staring at Jimin's pretty smile and wishing he could see it everyday. Jimin looked so damn beautiful when he smiled like that. He hated the fact that someone had the guts to make him feel sad.
"I swear, if we met when we were kids, we could've-"
"You should smile more often." Jungkook cut him off, making Jimin turn to him with a blush.
"W-what?"
The older smiled. "You're too beautiful. And anyone who makes you feel sad isn't worth your precious smile." He said, looking deeply into Jimin's eyes.
The younger's heart was racing. Never had he been told something as sweet as that. Jungkook was such a flirt, but he knew just the right things to say to set his heart aflame. It was weird; how Jimin found it so charming.
