The boy lazily doodled in his notebook, not in his right mind to pay any attention to whatever the teacher was saying. He was more focused on the sketch he was drawing of random things that popped into his mind, most of those things having to do with a certain someone.
"Pst, Chim." The other boy whispered beside him to get his attention, seeing how distracted he was from the class happening at the moment.
He looked up for a second, even though he didn't need to, as a way to tell the other he was listening.
"Have you heard anything from Taehyung?" Hoseok asked, leaning closer to the boy so no one else would hear them.
The dark haired male just sighed, lowering his head slightly, his bangs covering part of his beautiful eyes. "He's not answering my texts or calls, and I'm starting to get worried." He said with evident sadness and concern.
The older boy nodded, comprehensive of how the other felt. "I'm sure he's fine. But if it makes you feel better, we could go see him after classes again." He said with a cheerful smile, trying to make the younger feel better.
"We can't. I talked to his mom and she said it was best to just let him rest until he felt better. She's not letting anyone visit him for now." Jimin sadly informed, his worry for his best friend growing stronger every second.
"Hey, it's okay. It's Taehyung we're talking about, he'll be fine." Hoseok comforted, rubbing his hand behind the other's back to reassure him.
Jimin gave the other a weak smile and thanked him for the gesture. He was glad to have someone else to talk to whenever he couldn't reach his best friend. Hoseok was already kind enough to spend most of his own vacation with Jimin to cheer him up while he went through a breakdown of not having the blue haired prince by his side.
"Mr. Park and Mr. Jung! Care to share what's so important that you have to interrupt my class?" Their teacher suddenly spoke, making the two boys immediately get their attention back to the lesson, sharing a little chuckle once the teacher wasn't looking.
****"Ugh, I just feel so bad that I can't be there for him. Yesterday I was convinced he was acting strange because he was avoiding me or something but he actually has been sick and I was such a selfish jerk to judge instead of being worried like I should. And now I can't even see him." The black haired boy complained, moving his arms around dramatically like he does when he gets frustrated or embarrassed.
"Cheer up, buddy. Taehyung knows you care about him." Hoseok said for the nth time that morning, starting to feel a bit drained from listening to all of his friend's romantic problems. But he tried his best to be there for him.
"I know, I know. It's just..." He trailed, lowering his head with a sigh.
"You love him, I know." Hoseok responded for him in a casual tone, smirking a bit.
Jimin's words got caught up in his throat which almost made him chocke.
"What?! I-I don't love him! Taehyung's just my best friend! Why would you think that I have feelings for my best friend?!" He loudly asked, feeling his cheeks burn hot and his heart skip a beat.
The other smirked down at the boy, giving him a 'seriously' expression while crossing his arms.
"You ask questions in a loud high pitched voice whenever you're lying, you know?" Hoseok taunted, chuckling.
Jimin's blush turned even darker and he gulped hard as a way to prevent himself from saying anything else that could make his situation worse.
"He's my best friend... We aren't like that." He said, averting his gaze elsewhere, but Hoseok could see the glimpse of disappointment in his eyes.
