"Bell." Marie held her hands out and approached Bell like she was a stray cat.
Bell stood petrified staring at Tommy. "T-that's...that's..."
"Bell, yes, that's Tommyinnit. It's ok, just calm down and come meet him. He's real, don't worry." Marie walked back to Tommy and took his hand. Tommy followed Marie.
"Bell, meet Tommy. Tommy, meet Bell, my best friend." Marie stuck Tommy's hand out and held Bell's hand up to shake Tommy's.
"Nice to meet you, Bell. Your friend Marie is very nice." Tommy smiled. Marie looked up at Tommy and blushed.
"H-hello. H-hi. Um...hi." Bell stuttered and stuggled to keep it calm.
"Okayyy, let's get you some fresh air, Bell. Walk with me." Marie linked her arm into Bell's and pulled her away. She looked back at Tommy and nodded. Tommy nodded back, getting the message that they needed some time alone.
"May."
"Mhm?" Marie looked at Bell as they walked.
"May." Bell said again.
"...what?" Marie looked at her friend with confusion.
"Marie."
"God dammit Bell if you don't say what you want to say-"
"Shhhh." Bell turned to Marie and placed her finger on Marie's lips.
Marie leaned back and raised her eyebrows.
"Let me ask you this one question, May." Bell said seriously.
Marie took Bell's hand off her mouth and stood upright again. "Uhuh, what?"
"Why. Why are you. You of all people. Friends with THE Tommyinnit."
Marie rolled her eyes. "What did you expect Bell? I became Toby's friend less than a week ago. It was expected for me to meet Tommy."
Bell sighed and looked out to the ocean. "You better invite me to the wedding."
Marie furrowed her eyebrows. "What?"
Bell slowly turned back to Marie and raised one eyebrow. "Like Dream says: oh, come on, Marie."
Marie realized what Bell was saying and pushed her. "Bell! Stop it, we've only known each other for like a day now."
Bell smiled and laughed. "Oh, Marie. How blind you can be."
Marie rolled her eyes again and laughed. "We should get back to him though, he probably thinks we're dead."
Bell chuckled. "Or that you threw your phone into the ocean."
Marie sighed. "Come on! You can't blame me for not picking up the phone, I was meeting literal celebrities."
Bell giggled then realized something. "Did you just say celebrities? Plural?"
Marie widened her eyes. "Uhhh let's get walking now Tommy will be waiting for us!" Marie pushed Bell across the beach and refused to answer any questions.
Tommy looked up and saw Marie shoving Bell back to him.
"MAY! What do you mean by celebrities?! I thought you only met Tubbo and Tommyinnit?!" Bell pushed back against Marie.
"Hey Tommy." Marie nervously stood next to Bell asking her questions.
"Hi. Do you want to head back to the hotel now?" Tommy asked Marie.
Bell snapped her head back to Tommy. "WHAT. HOTEL?! MARIE WHAT THE FUCK-"
"YEA TOMMY LET'S GO!" Marie hurried over to Tommy.
Bell followed. "TOMMY FUCKING INNIT YOU MIGHT BE FUNNY BUT IF YOU LAY A SINGLE FINGER ON HER-"
Marie widened her eyes and quickly grabbed Tommy's hand. "LET'S GO LET'S GO LET'S GO BYE BELL GO HOME SEE YOU LATER!"
Marie and Tommy ran up the stairs and dashed across the street. They arrived at the hotel door panting.
"I am- so- sorry...about that." Marie said in between breaths.
Tommy cackled. "It's all fine. She cares for you."
Marie finally caught her breath and smiled. "Yeah. I'm glad you could uh...meet her."
Tommy smiled back at Marie. They stood there for a moment, soaking in the quietness.
Has she always glowed like that? Tommy thought.
Marie broke the eye contact and looked down. "We should, uh, get back to Dream- I mean uh, Clay."
Tommy chuckled. "Go ahead, I'll catch up with you."
Marie smiled and dashed inside. Tommy turned to look at the ocean.
She still thinks Toby's her soulmate. Tommy sighed. Am I not enough for her?
