Simple Season

"Pick up Will." Tommy paced around his room as the phone rung.

Toby popped his head inside. "Tommy? Are you done talking to Marie?"

Tommy turned to look at Toby and nodded. "I'm trying to call Will, give me a moment."

Toby nodded and closed the door.

"Hey Tommy what's up?"

"Hey Will I uh...wanted to talk to you about something." Tommy sat down at his desk.

"Sure what's going on?"

"Well...uh..." Tommy tried to figure out what to say.

"Spit it out Tommy."

"Are you good at dating advice?" Tommy asked.

Wilbur paused. "Tommy are you dating someone-"

"No, no I just needed some help- uh advice."

"Okay...what's the situation?"

Tommy sighed. "I want to be with this girl but I don't know if she wants the same thing yet, and I don't know how to tell her properly-"

"Tommy slow down. You want to be with a girl? How long have you guys known each other?"

Tommy scratched his head and thought for a moment. "Uh...6...5 weeks?"

"5 weeks? And you're already thinking about dating her?"

Tommy sighed. I can't really tell him about the soulmate thing can I. "No we've grown close and we really connect with each other." 

I feel like your presence needs to be next to mine, because when we talk time just...stops.

"Well, maybe surprise her with a present. Or face time her and just tell her how you really feel for her. Either way, you need to say it soon, both for you and for her." Wilbur suggested.

And you know, I still feel lonely. 

Tommy pricked his head up. "I don't know. I'll have to think about it. Thanks so much big man for the advice."

"No problem Tommy. Go get her." Wilbur hung up.

Tommy sighed. "Okay."

Marie laughed. "You really took your time getting over here."

Ranboo smiled. "Aye! It's not my fault I live across the country. Plus, you don't have any  right to complain since I came back here AND got you fries." Ranboo leaned over and stole one of Marie's fries.

Marie swatted his hand away and rolled her eyes. She smiled as she checked her phone.

New Message from Bell:

Bell: Sorry I couldn't hang out today, I bumped into an old friend  at the store today and we're hanging out now :( I feel so bad

Marie: DON'T FEEL BAD dum dum, plus that makes me feel better because i may of may not have arranged with one of my enderman friends to fly over...O_O

Bell: you did WHAT?! RANBOO'S WITH YOU RIGHT NOW?!?

Marie: Yeah, we were goofing around and joking about how funny it would be if he came back right after he left and it got serious and... now we're here

Bell: Oh my god May you're so dumb 

Marie: not as dumb as you, now let me talk to ranboo now before he steals all of my fries

Bell: k byeee

Marie: byee

Marie turned back to Ranboo taking another fry. "AYE!" Marie smacked his hand.

Ranboo jumped and quickly ate the fry. "Ow."

Marie's mom sighed. "Will you please just get the lawyer on the line for me-"

Marie's mom looked at her phone. Call ended. She sighed and rubbed her forehead.

"Hey Mom! I'm here!" Marie closed the front door behind her.

Marie's mom stepped out from the kitchen and smiled. "Hey sweetie, did you have fun with your friend?"

Marie nodded. "His name's Ranboo. Also...are you okay Mom? You look tired and stressed."

Her mom sighed. "I'm fine sweetie it's just...the divorce is a bit rough right now."

Marie took her mom's arm and led her to sit down on the couch. "Why?"

"They're being difficult because I don't have any evidence of abuse or injuries. And it doesn't help that all my wounds have healed." 

Marie sighed and sat in silence for a minute. Her face lit up. "I KNOW!" She yanked out her phone from her bag and tapped on the screen rapidly. "I've had this video for months, I filmed it quietly when Mark was hurting you."

Marie's mom winced as she watched herself getting beaten up. "You filmed this? Why?"

"I wanted to get you out of that situation so badly, but I didn't know how. I decided to film a video in case anything needed some sort of evidence."

Marie's mom smiled and tried to hold back her tears. "I love you so much Marie. You have been such a trooper daughter and I couldn't ask for more." She hugged Marie.

Marie smiled. "We did it, Mom. We finally did it."
