soulmate au (2020)

Karkat sat on his desk chair, it was 5 in the morning, he had just woke up from a terrible nightmare. He Got his red inked pen out and began scribbling on his right arm.

"Hey Douche bag, you awake?"

He waited a moment for a response, and it came,

"Yeah yeah, whats up? why arent you asleep?"

"I cant. i woke up. stupid fucking nightmares again."

Karkat waited a few minutes, it took his soulmate quite a while to write back.

"Www.Myfile.co.uk"

Karkat cocked an eyebrow. The troll put the lid on the pen and turned his lamp on, opening his laptop and typing the URL into the search bar.

a page came up with a lot of writing- it said,

"Dear Soulmate,

You are the reason,

I pinch myself, just knowing that youre mine.

Karkat smiled softly, his eyes teared up and he wrote back to his soulmate.

"I know we'll probably never meet, but i do truly love you, and ill never date anyone unless its you."

He got a quick response back-

"Kitten, i love you too, But listen, im sorry i gotta bounce, Ive got school tomorrow, and so do you i think. bye kitten xx"

Karkat wrote a quick "Yep bye!xx" And went back over to his bed, lying back down with the sheets pulled over him.

Karkats soulmate loved calling him kitten. He loved calling him anything that would annoy him. You werent allowed to write youre name or personal things on youre arm, it just ~~~'s it out. so the reason karkats ironic douchebag of a soulmate called him all these names was because he didnt know his real one. His soulmate also for some reason always loved saying " ironic" and stuff like that.

Karkat woke up. he groaned slightly as he got out of his comfy bed and made his way over to his closet. he grabbed an outfit for his first day of highschool, which consisted of grey jeans a black sweaTEr, some white converse., he got a towel and groggily walked to his bathroom to get changed and showered.

After showering and changing he grabbed his bag and skipped downstairs meeting his brother kankri. karkat groaned as he began making his lunch for school. "Karkat vantas, you better hurry up, youre going to have to start walking in 5 minutes. remember to be nice to people today, try make friends, listen in youre classes and.." Kankri marched over to karkat and put his hands on either side of the small trolls face, pulling at the corners of his lips. "..Smile!" Kankri smiled, walking back into the other room. karkat stufefd his lunch bag into his school bag, told kankr ihe was off and walked to school.

the small troll approached his locker. he had just visited the princibals office and was being assigned a group of people to help him around the school for his first week. karkat was soo pissed off right now, he put his combination into the locker, it didnt open, so he stood there pulling at it and hitting it for about 4 minutes before he felt a hand on his shoulder.
