It was the middle of june, a warm summer morning, Two Boys who where definetly flushed towards eachother walked in uncharectorized silence, the only noise to be heard was the chirping of the birds and the buzzing of the bees. These two friends just happened to be dave strider and karkat vantas.

These two males had decided to go on a walk this morning, It was all daves fault- You see, Karkat was completely opposed to the idea but dave however, He thought that they should go out and enjoy the sunshine. Yes, this was coming from the guy who wears sunglasses 20/47 and stays inside, curtains closed, on the xbox literally everyday.

well, INITIALLY karkat had absoloutely hated the idea, he argued with his friend for the first 20 minutes of their walk. Dave just responded with these smug remarks and bursts of laughter.

But here's where karkats mindset changed.

dave casually slid his hand down to karkats and held the diminutive individuals hand tightly. "It'll be fun, hun" he chuckled as they walked. The youthful trolls face flushed a bright red,

karkat knew he DEFINITELY had some sort of twisted feelings for Dave. But he was sure dave was 100% into girls. Despite all the platonic flirting. dave always done this with karkat, sometimes he even pretended they where together. Karkat was completely out and open about being into dudes, but some people didnt like that. Sometimes when the two where out and karkat receieved some sort of Offensive remark regarding his sexuality dave would step in and protect him.

Karkat loved that about their friendship. And if he was to ever confess to dave he would be way too scared to loose that.

they always shared these sweet moments, dave would cuddle with karkat as he fell asleep since he was too scared, if he scraped his knee dave would plaster it and tell him its alright. if he cried, Dave would dry every last tear. If dave was sick karkat wouldnt leave his side till he was better. If he was stressed he would poke fun at him and make him laugh, melting that stress right away.

Karkat stayed silent as he got lost in thought, staring down at the pebble path they where walking. Dave sighed and swung their arms back and forth. "Come onnnn! It will be so much fun! Hey- we can even go grab some food from the store and have a picnic!" Dave said energetically, trying to make karkat see the positive side of the walk.

"i...er...uh...fine.." karkat let out a huff. "It better be fun though..." he grumbled and daves face lit up. "Aw hell yeah karkles! Its going to be amazing. Alright?" He smiled softly and slung his arm around karkats shoulder .

They Both came to the end of the path, a long stretch of lucious green grass lay infront of them, a circle pond with a fishing dock and a few picnic benches and a massive playpark where also scattered around. "Holy shit." Karkat said quietly. "Theres a giant fucking slide!" He grinned, slightly surprised.

dave was also surprised that this was here, he thought it was just the benches and pond, but atleast karkat looks happy. "I knew you'd love it-" he acted as if he knew it was there. "Shall i push you on the swing?" He asked with a smirk. Karkat rolled his eyes and sighed "im perfectly capable of playing on the swing myself dumbass!"
Dave snickered "oh come on. Itll be fuuuuun" it was like 15th time dave had said that to him

dave walked with an arm around karkat,
The sun blaring in karkats eyes , luckily dave had his shades on. As they walked across the grass, a couple butterflies started to swarm them. Karkat squeeked and stared down and dave chuckled. "Its alrght karkles. Theyre just butterflies..see?" Karkat frowned and quickly wrapped his arms around daves waist.

the sudden affection slightly overwhelmed Dave but this just brought a sweet smile to his face. He rubbed his back and whispered to him "dont you worry..they wont hurt you..ill protect you okay?" Karkat smiled and squeezed him tightly with a nod.

"hey hey. look man." dave said gently as a butterfly landed on karkats horn. karkat squeeked and held onto dave tighter. "dude. dude. stay calm. see.." dave quickly snapped a picture before gently puling karkats reluctant arms away from his waist.

"heh..hes just a little guy, he wont hurt you.." dave put his finger against karkats horn and let the butterfly flutter over onto hif finger and he showed karkat. "see?" he whispered

karkat was in complete awe with the butterflys "woahh!" he whispered and looked at it closely, the butterfly fluttering to his nose. karkat gasped again. "da..dave look..o-oh gosh.." he whispered and dave blinked and took his phone out to take a few pics and then video it. "w-woah..this is..so..cute.."he whispered.

karkat looked up at the camera innocently and grinned more "hehe..but,,"he paused and suddenly sneezed and the butterflys flew away. dave sniggered and karkat cleared hsi throat.

"pollen.."
