The overwhelming calm was what she noticed first. How everything was silent, even the wind, no rustling of the leaves, or the faint sound of animals, just silence.

To most, it might be unnerving, but Avis felt at peace. For the first time in weeks, she wasn't burdened by Alex and Jasper's death, her father's ultimatums, not even the absence of Dean and Sam. She had sent Reid back to her apartment to get what they needed and rest before they invaded the Initiative, but for now, she was alone.

She simply brought herself to her knees, not wanting to lose the serenity. Time became irrelevant as she laid down in the grass and watched the sky.

At one point it had become an explosion of colors. Pink, purple, and blue almost blending together, as Avis listened to only the sound of her breath.

She had no idea how long she had been there, and for some reason, she didn't care. The world outside of her calm didn't exist. There was no anger, sadness, no weight of the world on her shoulders. Avis could finally breathe.

And soon her eyes fell closed, and she drifted into the calmest sleep she had in years.

Wake up!

Avis abruptly sat up from the cold ground of the woods that she had made herself comfortable in. Her back was stiff from the uncomfortable position she had been in and dirt had made its way under her fingernails.

She groggily took out her phone and looked at the time, letting her eyes drift to the date

"Holy fuck" It had been three weeks!? How the fuck had she been there for three weeks? What had Lucifer done, was Reid worried? Had the Winchesters or Cas gone looking for her?

She quickly dialed the first number she thought of and brought herself to her feet, wiping off what dirt she could

"Hello?" Sam answered the phone sounding like he had just woken up. Avis thought for a second deciding what to say, "Anyone there?"

"Sam, hey" She could hear something happening on the other end of the call, probably him sitting up or something "I know it's been a little while but I uh, kind of need you to do me a favor"

Sam and Dean had spent the past few weeks doing whatever they could to distract from the Avis vs. Lucifer situation.

Cas had made it painfully clear that they couldn't get involved without possibly ruining the prophecy, potentially letting Lucifer run ramped in the process. And as much as they wanted to simply ignore Gabriel and Cas and help their friend, they couldn't risk it.

The sudden ringing of his phone was what woke him from his half-sleep. He reached for his phone, not bothering to look at the caller ID, and brought it to his ear

"Hello?" His voice was groggy, making it obvious he had just woken up. There was only silence on the other end and Sam raised an eyebrow "Anyone there?"

"Sam, hey" Sam sat upright, turning his lamp on and moving so he was sitting on the side of the bed. He hadn't heard from Avis since their fight a few weeks ago. She sounded tired, which only worried the younger Winchester "I know it's been a little while but I uh, kind of need you to do me a favor"

"Ace, yeah of course. What's up??" He fought the urge to go and wake Dean, not knowing if Avis wanted both of their help

"I was hoping you and Dean could go and check in on Bobby for me. I left a little suddenly the other day and just want to make sure he's okay and doesn't think I'm like dead" She laughed a little at the end and Sam's smile formed as well. He missed hanging out with her

"Yeah, of course, is everything ok?" He was a little worried but Avis randomly leaving wasn't exactly new. He could hear her sigh and think about her answer

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just checking out a lead...oh and Sam," Avis cleared her throat and Sam listened intently "Don't tell Dean I'm the one who asked okay?

Sam held back a laugh and nodded even though Avis couldn't see it "Yeah, no problem."

"Thanks, Sammy, I'll uh call you when I can" With that the phone call ended and Sam put down his phone.

He turned off his lamp and went back to his almost asleep state, blissfully ignorant to what Avis was about to do.
