"So, Lucifer? He's the reason you got taken?" Sam looked to the back where Cas sat with Avis still unconscious and leaning on his arm.
"Yes, but whatever he planned to do with me, he never got the chance. Avis stole my grace back." Dean and Sam nodded, a little impressed.
"And the others with you, they are also angels?" Dean glanced at the girl with him, still not completely sure what the relationship there was.
"No. Jasper was human, but they thought he could possibly obtain abilities, Alex was a sort of science experiment, at least that's how she worded it, and has enhanced speed" He stopped for a second looking at Avis, he knew she would probably never forgive him for leaving the others, but he needed to protect her "And Avis is a demigod, she was there the longest."
"A demigod? As in half-god?" Dean raised an eyebrow, tightening his grip. He didn't need any more crazy gods bothering them.
"Like those Norse demigods Gabe got mixed up with?" Sam questioned and Cas shook his head.
"In a way, Avis is Greek. Greek demigods are the rarest version. Especially since she is the daughter of one of the Big Three" Before he could explain further, Avis began to twitch awake.
"Cas...?" She lifted herself off his arm and looked around her not recognizing her environment. Her expression changed as it all came rushing back. She moved across the back seat, away from Cas not wanting to be near the angel at the moment.
"So, how long were there exactly?" Dean questioned, he felt bad for her but if this situation was even slightly related to Lucifer, he didn't have time to be gentle.
"7 years." They got a little quiet and Avis sighed "Let's just get this out of the way. Lucifer must have been inside someone before Dr. Chase, He probably knew that I would be able to see his wings if he was in front of me. Meaning after I started going all prison break, he went into Chase."
"Why would he need Cas though? And why wait so long before even experimenting on him?" Sam questioned and Avis thought for a second.
"Because they found something..." She muttered, piecing together what had happened.
"What?" Cas looked at her, but she barely glanced at him.
"Up until yesterday, they had never experimented on Alex. But the doctors in my room had mentioned they wanted to run some tests, that she probably wouldn't survive. Why keep her for 2 years only to do a surgery she would die during? While they tested her, they must have found something that they found more interesting than an angel."
"Then why kill her?" Sam asked and Avis's expression darkened.
"Unless it was Jasper..." She pointed out and the group went silent. The rest of the car ride stayed that way. Avis looked out the window, simply watching the sky for the first time in years, wishing she had her family there with her.

The car shut off as they finally entered the garage of the bunker. Avis sighed, looking around.
'Fantastic, one basement for a new one' She thought to herself and shook her head. The others exited the car going to the stairs that led to the map room, Avis followed not wanting to get lost in this place.
"Do you guys have a shower? As much I love the been in a basement for the past 7 years look, the blood is kind of a turn off" She joked darkly, and Sam gave a small smile
"Yeah, let me show you where it is" She gave a smile in return as a thank you and the two went off down the hallway.
"So, why her?" Dean's voice was quiet not wanting this to be overheard, but genuinely curious about the answer "Why not Jasper or Alex?"
"It's a long story..." Dean raised his eyebrows waiting for Cas to continue "I made someone a promise and even if she hates me for the rest of her life, I don't regret it"
"Made who a promise? I thought you just met this girl" Dean's confusion was simply building at this point. He wished the angel would stop being so fucking vague and simply tell him what the hell was going on.
"Gabriel." A loud crash cut their conversation short. They ran towards the sound, finding Sam on the ground trying to sit himself up and Avis being pinned against the wall by Lucifer. Dean ran over to Sam while Cas went behind Lucifer.
Lucifer simply waved his hand and Cas went flying backwards into Dean, making them both fall to the ground. Lucifer turned his attention back to Avis, tightening his grip around her neck
"Y'know I expected you to be better than this Avis. I mean I've heard the stories, the great solider fighting for Poseidon helping him make his rise to power, killing anyone and anything that got in her way. But then you were just a kid, right? A simple puppet for your father to use" He had a sort of humor to his voice as he almost decided what he wanted to do with her "But I gotta say you seem out of practice"
He had been trying to get a rise out of her, but Avis knew better. This wasn't her first-time face to face with someone more powerful than her "That's where your wrong Lucifer," She smiled, and he raised an eyebrow "I'm not out of practice"
He glanced down to see that her hand was bloody, and she had drawn a sigil on the wall behind her. Before he could react, she slammed her hand against it and both him and Cas were expelled from the room. She fell to the ground with a thud and both boys ran over to her.
"You alright?" Sam raised an eyebrow as they helped her to her feet.
"Relatively." She groaned and moved her hand along her neck "Cas'll be fine if that's what you're worried about" Avis assured, noticing Dean's harsh expression.
"Did you really have to expel both of them?" His tone was accusatory, and she glared not wanting or needing his hostility at the moment.
"I didn't see you getting any bright ideas" Avis shrugged off their hands that didn't seem to move after helping her stand. She wiped her nose of the blood that had formed from Lucifer not so gently hitting her in the face and sighed "Well this has been fun, I'm gonna go wash my friend's blood off of me."
The brother's shared an uncomfortable glance but nodded and let her go. Dean sighed running his hand through his hair and gave Sam a look he couldn't read.
"Cas is fine Dean, it's not the first time he's been expelled" Dean nodded knowing it was true. There was really no point in him blaming Avis, she did what she had to do, but he just got Cas back. No way he was gonna lose him again.
"Yeah, I know, I know" He looked at the direction Avis had gone "Do we trust her?"
"Cas does. Not to mention, without her we never would have found him." Sam couldn't really explain it, but he knew this woman wasn't going to betray them, he just hoped he was right "And she did steal his grace back."
"Yeah...I'm gonna grab her a change of clothes" Sam raised an eye at his brother's new hospitality and Dean rolled his eyes "I'm pretty sure your shirts would go down to her ankles."
Sam let out a small laugh and Dean took off. What Cas said was still racing through his mind. For some reason Gabriel, who the boys' thought was dead, had made Cas promise to keep this random girl alive. That made him weary of her at the very least.
