Avis couldn't help the tears that came rushing from her eyes the second she was alone. If there was one thing her father had taught her, it was that emotions made humans weak. If they were shown you wouldn't be seen as a soldier but rather as a pawn.

His voice rang through her head 'Hold your head high daughter, don't let them see you as what you are. Make them think you can be better' Though many might see this advice as cold, it was the warmest thing he had ever said to his offspring

As the hot water washed away her continuous tears and the dried blood of an unknown friend, Avis replayed the events of the past week. She should have done things differently. Told Cas to get Alex and Jasper out and brought the building down around them. Then they would be safe. Then maybe she would be at peace.

Reluctantly she turned off the water and wrapped a towel around her middle. She wiped away the steam that had formed on the mirror and looked at her reflection.

She looked almost completely different. Cleaner than she had been in years. Her face had two prominent scars, one near the left side of her nose which seemed to be fading, and one on her bottom lip.

The rest of her body was riddled with other marks, many of them fading after being there for so long but also ones that seemed fresh from her time with the Initiative. There was a knock at the door that made her jump slightly but opened it to see Dean.

He stared at her for a moment, a little caught off guard. Avis stood there awkwardly waiting for him to focus. He cleared his throat and handed her some clothes.

"I figured you would need something to change into" She gave a small smile, taking the clothes from him.

"Thanks. And sorry about before I know you were just worried about Cas" Dean nodded still standing there and Avis raised her eyebrow "You gonna watch?" She asked sarcastically and he smirked.

"I'll be with Sam if you need me" She nodded and closed the door as he walked away. She let the towel drop and pulled on the clothes Dean gave her. It was nothing fancy just a black t-shirt and a pair of sweatpants that were a little big, but she adjusted the string so that they wouldn't fall.

Her hair was still wet, but her eyes glowed for a second and it was no longer dripping, only damp. Before joining the brothers again, she splashed some water on her face and took a deep breath.

'Alright. let's go to work.'
