As the late afternoon sun began to lower in the sky, the only sound that could be heard through Jay's apartment was the faint crunching of chips.
Wang Yixiang lay sprawled across the couch like a cat, mindlessly stuffing chips into his mouth as he stared at the ceiling. The light curtains were drawn open, letting the last few rays of the late afternoon sun filter through the window. The room was illuminated with a soft glow, beams of glowing sun gently draping over his face and highlighting his sharp features.
He paid no attention when his phone pinged, notifying him that he had received a text message. Nicholas rarely responded to these messages, either out of laziness or the fact that he simply didn't care enough, or both. Don't get him wrong, he really did care for his friends, but sometimes, especially the younger ones, were just too much for him to handle.
