Third Person's POV
Previously, Sonic and Brody were locked up on Prison Island, a high-tech, totally escape-proof jail. But fortunately, their friends were able to stage a robot-busting rescue. Meanwhile, Dr. Eggman and his gang staged their own jailbreak -- a break-in. Their goal: to steal Chaos Emeralds to power up Eggman's ultimate weapon. With the island on the verge of destruction, Sonic and Brody challenged the mysterious Shadow and Bolt to a showdown. Our heroes made an explosive escape, but what about those left behind? Could anyone survive that blazing blast? Find out today!
We start in the Thorndyke Mansion in Chuck's lab, the Thorndykes (excluding Chris), Sonic, Brody and their friends are watching the news "After the explosion on Prison Island, an emergency search team searched for survivors. Fortunately, the team now reports that everyone made it off the island safely" The news reporter said and everyone breathes a sigh of relief "We told ya not to worry. Chris must be okay" Brody said "But if he's not on Prison Island and he's not here..." Amy said and gasps remembering Shadow and Bolt "Shadow and Bolt must have taken him to Eggman!" Amy said and Tanaka nods "Don't worry. Brody and I won't stop looking 'til We bring Chris back home" Sonic said and he and Brody remember the time Chris saved them from the pool "In related news, authorities are still searching for Sonic the Hedgehog and Brody the Wolf, who are--" A news reporter said when Ella turns off the TV. Everyone is dumbfounded. Sonic and Brody stand up "We're gonna go find our friend Chris" Brody said "But the police are looking for you two" Amy said "Don't worry" Sonic said and the duo take off from the room "I hope Sonic and Brody don't get caught again" Amy said "If we all search, perhaps we can find Chris" Tanaka said "Where should we look? Shadow and Bolt probably brought Chris to Dr. Eggman's secret base. But we don't have any idea where it is" Turbo said "Turbo has a good point" Chuck said "Well, if we're gonna find Chris, we'll have to find that base" Amy said "Then let's start looking right away!" Cream said "Chao!" Cheese said.
Meanwhile at a Desert, Knuckles and Ralph, who have been running, stop "I'm gonna get even with that bat!" Knuckles said remembering their first encounter with Rouge "Don't worry big guy, we'll get her" Ralph said and the ground shakes, throwing Knuckles and Ralph to the ground. They stand back up and see smoke rising in the distance "Sounded like a rocket" Ralph said and the two run up a sand dune and see Eggman's pyramid base, and smoke rising from it "Eggman's base..." Knuckles said.
*In Space*
Chris appears to be on a space station of some sort. He is looking out the window "Whoa... It's hard to believe that I really traveled into space" Chris said and turns around to see Shadow and Bolt behind him "And we're inside a space station?" Chris asks "We call this place Space Colony ARK" Bolt said "I never heard of it before" Chris said "It was built fifty years ago by Professor Gerald Robotnik. It's been kept... secret" Shadow said and Chris looks out the window again "Wow, a secret space colony!" Chris said and turns back to Shadow and Bolt "I wonder if I'm the only kid who's ever gone into space" Chris said "You're not" Shadow and Bolt said "What? Then who was?" Chris asks and Shadow and Bolt appear conflicted, but do not answer "Hey, you know what? You two look a lot like my friends Sonic and Brody. Are the four of you... related?" Chris asks and Shadow and Bolt's penetrating gaze causes Chris to tremble. However, in Shadow and Bolt's vision, Chris' reflection in the window changes to an image of Maria 'Maria...' Shadow and Bolt think and have a flashback.
*Flashback*
Shadow, Bolt, Maria, and Professor Gerald are fleeing from several soldiers "Stop them! We can't let them get away!" A soldier said. Later, Shadow and Bolt are in an escape pod. Maria runs up to a control panel "Listen, Shadow and Bolt. I want you two to promise me... please" Maria said "No, wait!" Shadow said "Maria, no!" Bolt said and soldiers begin banging on the door "Whatever happens, remember I'll always be your friend, Shadow and Bolt. I'm glad you two became my friend. We always talked about going to visit the planet one day. But it looks like you two will have to go there without me. Sayonara, Shadow the Hedgehog and Bolt the Wolf" Maria said and pulls a switch and immediately collapses. The escape pod is jettisoned into space.
