Third Person's POV

Previously, Shadow and Bolt transported Chris to Eggman's space base, where Chris learned about a secret orbiting colony built by Eggman's grandfather, the brilliant Professor Gerald Robotnik. Eggman unveiled the Eclipse Cannon, his ultimate weapon, and warned that he'd use it unless the entire population surrender to the Eggman Empire. What are Shadow and Bolt's mysterious motives? We start in a Senior Home as Stewart parks his car outside the senior's home, and both he and Scarlet Garcia get out. Scarlet walks up to a few elderly people on the front porch "Excuse me. I'm Scarlet Garcia from SSTV News" Scarlet said. Later, Stewart and Scarlet are speaking with Mr. Schmitz, a former GUN soldier "Reporter, I have nothing to say to you. I just want to be left alone!" Schmitz said "We don't want to trouble you, sir, We'd simply want to ask you a couple of questions" Scarlet said "Can you tell us what happened on Space Colony ARK fifth years ago?" Stewart asks "...Nothing happened" Schmitz said "I understand your reluctance to talk about it, sir, but you were there when it occurred, and we need to find out all that we can? Please, sir. I need to know" Scarlet said "You don't have any idea what you're getting involved in, young lady. Just leave it alone before you stir up trouble" Schmitz said.

Meanwhile at the Space Colony ARK computer room, as the shuttle enters space, Rouge speaks to Eggman on the computer's screen "Looks like your boys really goofed, didn't they, Doc?" Rouge asks "None of your business!" Eggman said "Fine. Let's launch the counterattack. How about giving me the password for the colony?" Rouge asks "Maria. I'm counting on you. I'll be on standby aboard Crazy Gadget" Eggman said and vanishes from the screen "Fooling that old fool oughta be a snap. All right, let's start hacking" Rouge said and enters the password "Maria" she said and several boxes appear on the screen "Come on, come on..." Rouge said and locates an entry on Project Shadow Bolt "Ah, here we are. Project Shadow Bolt: top secret. Sounds exciting. "The ultimate creatures development project." Sure sounds juicy to me... "Shadow... Sealed off...?" But how? If that's true... then who's he?" Rouge asks.

Ata viewport of the ARK, Shadow and Bolt are looking out the viewport, while a sad Chris is sitting next to them. Sonic and Brody's shuttle is soon visible among the asteroids outside "Here comes your friends" Shadow said and excited, Chris stands up and looks out the window "You mean Sonic and Brody?" Chris asks "They'd be fools to challenge us" Bolt said "You two are the fools, not Sonic and Brody!" Chris said "You'll see We're right. This is one battle your friends cannot win" Shadow said and Chris is silent as they look out the window.

Back at the senior's home, "What you're investigating is much more dangerous than you know! I won't answer any of your questions and that's that!" Schmitz said "Please sir, you've just got to tell us what happened! You're the only survivor. Everyone else was... lost. ...Even my father... I'm begging you, please tell us! You owe it to the memory of all those innocent people!" Scarlet said and Stewart places his hand on Scarlet's shoulder "Scarlet" Stewart said and shakes his head. Soon, Scarlet and Mr. Stewart head back to the car "I'm sorry. That wasn't very professional of me" Scarlet said "You don't have to apologize. It must bring up a lot of painful memories for you" Stewart said. Suddenly they see four government agents in front of them "Don't panic. Get to the car as fast as you can" Stewart said "Why?" Scarlet asks "Hurry!" Stewart said "Okay!" Scarlet said and runs toward the car "Grab the woman!" Agent 1 said and Stewart kicks the first agent to the ground. The second agent tries to attack him, but Mr. Stewart knocks him out as well "Who's next?" Stewart asks "You go!" Agent 4 said to Agent 3 and shoves Agent 3 into Mr. Stewart. He vainly grapples with him, but stands up and sheepishly grins before he is knocked out. Mr. Stewart turns to see that the fourth agent has grabbed Scarlet "What do you want from me?" Scarlet asks "Scarlet!" Stewart said and races toward Scarlet "Let me go!" Scarlet said "Get in the car!" Agent 4 said and he is suddenly karate-chopped from behind by Mr. Schmitz "Thank you...." Scarlet said and two government cars bear down on them "This way!" Schimtz said and Stewart and Scarlet follow Mr. Schmitz to safety. Later, they are in a backyard. Mr. Stewart looks around to make sure no one sees them before rejoining Scarlet and Mr. Schmitz "I think we're safe now" Stewart said "Thank you very much" Scarlet said to Schmitz "You sure are strong" Stewart said and Mr Schmitz flexes his muscles winking "I still work out at the gym. Besides, I don't want anyone else to die" Schmitz said and Scarlet is surprised.
