Cracking Knuckles

Third Person's POV

We start in an alley as it is nighttime. Knuckles is sitting alone on a bucket in the alley. A loose newspaper blows into Knuckles' leg. He picks it up and glances at it. Seeing that it is a picture of Sonic and Eggman battling, he lets it go. It blows away. He has a flashback of himself guarding the Master Emerald at Angel Island. He is so deep in thought that he is unaware of a figure appearing behind him. It is Dr. Eggman "Dr. Eggman!" Knuckles said and Eggman gets on his knees before Knuckles "Please help me, Knuckles!" Eggman said grasping Knuckles' hands, he explains his distress "If we don't do something fast, Sonic and Brody could make us prisoners on this planet forever!" Eggman said and Knuckles looks suprised "If we can gather all seven of the Chaos Emeralds, there's a fighting chance that we can somehow reverse the effect that sent us to this world, and return to where we came from" Eggman said and there is a flashback of Sonic and Brody destroying Eggman's robots, breaking into the base, and causing Chaos Control "Sonic and Brody knew they could use the Chaos Emeralds to warp themselves through time and space. That's the reason they attacked Chaos Control! They found out that I collected all the Chaos Emeralds to keep them out of their grasp! You know how reckless Sonic and Brody are. I was afraid of what they might do if they got hold of the Emeralds, so I set up defenses, but there was no stopping Sonic and Brody. They were determined to push their selfish search for thrills all the way this time, no matter who got hurt! Finally, Sonic and Brody invaded Chaos Control, and to my horror, they finally achieved their goal! Sonic and Brody destroyed Chaos Control and sent us all here just for the fun of it!" Eggman said "So Sonic and Brody caused it...?" Knuckles said as Eggman now has a handkerchief to wipe away his "tears" "After ending up in this world, I finally came to my senses. I want to spend the rest of my years quietly in my homeland" Eggman said and blows his nose. But a gleam in his eye tells the readers that he is bluffing "What can I do? They won't even give me a chance to fix things! I want to get us back, but when I found one of the Chaos Emeralds, you know what happened! Sonic and Brody snatched it from me, and said they're going to stay here as long as they please!" Eggman said "Those guys...." Knuckles said  "Didn't Sonic and Brody tell you anything? They must know that you must return to your homeland as soon as possible" Eggman said and Knuckles gets mad "They don't care about their friends!" Eggman said "They're not my friends! I was just about getting fed up with the way they do things. You're sure that we can return home if we have the Chaos Emeralds?" Knuckles asks "Definitely. Please believe this poor old man!" Eggman said "Okay. I'll go settle things once and for all" Knuckles said and Eggman grins under his handkerchief "Good thing that Racoon wasn't here to stop me" Eggman mumbled to himself. Meanwhile, on a rooftop nearby, Ralph was looking at some jewels in a closed store "Ooooo, baby just look at those jewels. Mmm this world must have lots of treasure begging for me to find them. Wish Knucky would let me explore alr-" Ralph said when Knuckles landed infront of him "Oh uh busted. Hey Knux" Ralph said "Come on Ralph, we gotta go" Knuckles said "Go? Where?" Ralph asks confused "To take that chaos emerald from those selfish hedgehog and wolf!" Knuckles said "Wait what?" Ralph asks.

*Next day at the Thorndyke Mansion in Chuck's workshop*

Chris, Turbo and Tails are admiring the Chaos Emerald, which is stored inside a machine in the workshop. Chuck is sitting in his chair "A Chaos Emerald! Does anybody know where they come from or how they work?" Chris asks "Nobody knows much except that they're real powerful!" Turbo said "I hope my analysis reveals something about its makeup" Chuck said and suddenly they hear a noise from beneath the trap door that leads to the workshop "I know you're in there! You haven't let me clean your room in so long I'm issuing a dirt alert!" Ella said "Oh no! It's Ella! Quick Tails, Turbo,  hide!" Chris said "Huh? Wha?" Turbo and Tails asks and Turbo flops onto a beanbag, pretending he is a stuffed animal and Tails flops onto Turbo's lap doing the same, just as Ella, the maid, opens the door. Chris then tries to act casual "I thought I'd find you up here, Christopher" Ella said "Oh... Hi there, Ella" Chris said and Ella begins to vacuum the room "Hmm... Keeping this room dust-free is a losing battle. Not that I'm complaining, but it's like trying to vacuum a dirt road! I--" Ella said and then notices Tails and Turbo, and her face brightens. Chuck and Chris become worried "Uh..." Chris said and Ella bends down to Tails and Turbo's level "They're so precious! Are this your toys?" Ella asks "Uh... I'm taking care of it" Chris said "Ah... It almost looks real to me" Ella said and she turns back to Tails and Turbo, whose eyes glance in her direction. She looks surprised. Chris snatches Turbo up and Chuck snatches Tails up "I... think I'll go outside and play" Chris said "Heheh, me too!" Chuck said and they leave the workshop and a confused Ella.
