Sonic and Brody to the Rescue

Third Person's POV

One morning at the Thorndyke Mansion, Chris was on the phone with his mother while Sonic and Brody watch this from the roof, looking bored "Oh, this picture has been a disaster, darling! A complete disaster! We've had to stop shooting because there's been torrential rain for days so there's nothing I can do besides sit and wait. I don't think I'll be back 'til late next week at the earliest. But I had plenty of time to go shopping and I'm having lots of wonderful presents that I hope you'll like them. They're coming on daddy's jet so you should have them tonight!" Lindsey said " Thanks, Mom. Mom, there's something I have to - well, there's something I did which I'm kinda not supposed to" Chris said "Christopher, what happened?! Are you all right?!" Lindsey asks "Yeah, I'm totally fine. But remember about how you've said about that I'm not allowed to swim at night and how you wanted me to stay away from the adult pool?" Chris asks "Did you go swimming in the adult pool at night all by yourself?!" Lindsey asks "Um, well... not exactly. You see, there is this "cat" and "dog" in the pool and I got them out" Chris said "Oh, you have a big heart just like I do. Next time, ring for Mr. Tanaka and he'll take care of it, all right? Oh darling, I must run. Kiss mummy goodbye" Lindsey said and the two make kissing sounds "Ciao, sweetheart" She said and Chris hangs up phone as Sonic and Brody jump onto the balcony "Take a good look, I'm a hedgehog, not a cat!" Sonic said "And I'm a wolf not a dog!" Brody said annoyed "Um, I know. Please don't be mad. You see, my mom wouldn't understand" Chris said "Why wouldn't she?" Sonic and Brody ask "Well first of all, she knows that I wouldn't risk diving into a pool in the middle of the night just to save a little hedgehog and a wolf" Chris said "Really?" Sonic and Brody ask "What else could I say to her? I couldn't tell it that I saved a blue, talking hedgehog and a yellow black striped, talking wolf. That reminds me! Where and when did you two learn how to talk, Sonic and Brody?" Chris asks "Good question" Brody said "Unfortunately, We don't have a very good answer because We don't remember" Sonic said and the phone rings "Hello?" Chris asks "Chris, is everything alright?" Nelson asks "Hey dad, how are you?" Chris asks " I'm fine but your mother just called and told me that you made an emergency rescue last night. I guess our security system can't protect against stray cats and dogs that decide they want to go for a midnight swim. Chris, I know you like animals but what you did was dangerous. Were you hurt? Did the cat or dog scratch you while you were trying to save it?" Nelson asks "No scratches at all. I'm fine, Dad. Honest, I am. It wasn't really that big a deal. After I jumped in and got them out of the water, they were really happy. I can tell" Chris said "Yeah, gotcha, yeah-" Nelson said "Besides, I could've had Grandpa or Ella or Mr. Tanaka to help me if I needed to. Don't worry, Dad. They're taking good care of me" Chris said "Yeah, they better be. Listen, Chris. I've got an important meeting to run to. You call me anytime if you need anything and no more late night swims, promise?" Nelson asks "Okay, Dad. I promise. See ya soon" Chris said and hangs up and then turns to Sonic and Brody who sigh in boredom and Chris lightly chuckles "I almost forgot, you two must be pretty hungry. I was thinking you two might like to have something to eat" Chris said "Yeah, I guess We could go for something to eat" Sonic said  "What's on the menu?" Brody asks "I checked out hedgehogs and wolves on the internet and found the perfect thing" Chris said and grabs two bowls piled with unknown food of some sort and Sonic and Brody each take a piece for a bite from the bowls and the two spit it quick "Uh, what is this?!" Sonic asks "Cat food" Chris said "Uggghhh! No wonder it tastes like there's cat in it!" Sonic said "Did you give me cat food too?!" Brody asks "Oh no it's dog food" Chris said "Uggghhhh" Brody said annoyed "The website I went to said most hedgehogs love cat food and that most wolves eat dog food just fine. I guess that doesn't go for all hedgehogs and wolves. I can get you a bowl of crickets Sonic and I can get you a steak Brody" Chris said and Brody knocks the bowls away annoyed and jumps off the balcony onto a tree "No! Please don't run away!" Chris said "Sorry kid, but there's only so many times I can stand being called a dog and I'm not letting Sonic eat bugs. Come on Sonic" Brody said "Coming!" Sonic said jumping onto another branch on the tree "I'll get whatever you two want but just don't go!" Chris said and Brody waves.
