the BAU
9:15 A.M.

Aurora was standing quietly, thinking to herself as the elevator went up several floors quickly. She wasn't nervous, she was a great agent and really excelled in all of her past jobs, she knew she'd be above average in no matter what position she was put in. It was like her entire body was tingling with anticipation as the elevator rose and got closer and closer to the final destination.

Aurora simply stared down at her feet while she waited for the elevator to arrive to the floor of the BAU. She rolled her eyes as she looked down at the high heels she had chose to wear this morning, silently she wished to herself that she had chosen the other heels and sighed.

She heard a small "ding" and the elevator doors opened in front of her. She waited a few seconds as she was still thinking to herself about her shoes before she looked up. Aurora took a moment to look around the room briefly, the shocked looks on everyone's faces made her smirk a little. She was used to this kind of reaction from people, because quite frankly, she is hot. She didn't know exactly what they were shocked about, they were probably expecting a male agent or something, because frankly it is quite the male dominated field, if it was her decision she'd have the entire FBI be hot women, but it sadly is not up to her.

She took her first powerful steps towards Agent Hotchner's office, looking forward with a fierceness in her eyes, everyone around her immediately declaring her as someone they did not want to mess with. In Strauss's email that she had received from her a few weeks ago the woman had been given specific instructions to go straight to Agent Hotchner's office and he would be the one to give her further directions.

Aurora walked into the bullpen confidently and walked straight past everyone in there. She noticed a few people staring, the people she assumed to be her new team, but she ignored all the eyes that remained on her as she beelined towards Agent Hotchner's office. There were six people in total, well there were six of the ones who she actually assumed were her new team members from what Strauss had told her about them. A colorful blonde who held a bright smile as she nudged the tall muscular man beside her who rolled his eyes, an older guy who stood slightly behind the rest of the group as he watched her enter, a petite blonde whos eyebrows were raised in shock as she turned to look at a twig man who's mouth was currently gaping, and a beautiful woman with long dark hair who immediately looked down at her boots following Auroras arrival.

Beautiful woman? Get it together Aurora. Be professional.

She shook her head at her own thoughts, which no one around her seemed to notice, and continued her walk, her blonde hair bouncing up and down on her shoulders as she walked. She strutted up the stairs towards the office, but as she arrived she noticed that the Agent Hotchner that Strauss had told her to wait for wasn't even inside his office. Aurora ignored this small detail and walked in anyways taking a seat across from what she assumed to be Unit Chief Hotchner's desk.

Aurora looked around his office briskly, trying to get a feel for what he was going to be like. She saw paperwork sprawled out across his desk and an empty coffee cup. He clearly hasn't slept yet, he's probably exhausted, she thought to herself as she waited. She continued to make minor notes in her head mentally as she profiled a little bit about her new boss by the way his office was arranged.

Back in the bull pen the members of the team were left in shock. "Did you all just see that? Did you guys see what I saw?!" Penelope exclaimed.

"She walked right into Hotchs office, knowing damn well he wasn't in there. That's bold," Derek said trying to think over what they had just witnessed. Derek wasnt used to people being so casual about Hotch, they usually got scared or intimidated by him, but something told him that this girl was going to be different. He thought that this different might be pretty damn good.
