present day
Auroras apartment
8:45 A.M.Aurora sat up quietly in her bed, a book spread between her two hands as Emily slept. Her breathing humming softly as Aurora turned page after page in her book. She had been up for nearly an hour now, yet Emily was still yet to wake up on this beautiful morning. Which was perfectly fine with Aurora, they weren't in any rush today. Hotch had given them a few days off which excited Aurora tremendously considering the fact that Halloween was coming up. She knew the chances that they'd get called out on a case right before Halloween were likely, so she had plans to have a mini Halloween celebration with Emily today.
Thinking of it Aurora didn't really know her girlfriends stance on any of the main holidays. She would assume by a basic assessment of her personality, meaning that she loves black, turtlenecks, and cats, that she would love halloween. But, even if she didn't Aurora planned to make it a fun day for the two of them anyhow.
Emily rustled next to her and Aurora looked from her book down to Emily's face, which was currently scrunched up as if she was having a nightmare or maybe she was just stressed out, Aurora pushed the hair off of Emily's forehead and pressed three soft and sweet kisses to Emily's temple. Emily's face immediately resting back to normal and Aurora smiled before turning back to her book.
45 minutes later when the clock read 9:30 a.m. Emily moved beside her again, and again and again until she opened her eyes to see Aurora, who's hair was thrown back into a loose messy bun, she was wearing a black lacey bralette and reading her book silently, her mouth moving along with the book as she read the words to herself. But, when the blonde heard Emily's moments she shifted her eyes down to the raven haired woman, "Well good morning to you, you big sleepyhead," Aurora teased and Emily rolled her eyes but moved closer into Auroras side, loving the extra warmth that her girlfriend provided for her.
"Whatever it's not a work day anyways, it's not like I needed to be up," Emily mumbled as Aurora shut her book and set it on the nightstand beside her, she went down to be on the same level as Emily and pulled her into a tender kiss before bringing her hands up to play with her hair.
"So I have some things I have planned for today, I figured we will likely get pulled into a case on Halloween and I really want to do some Halloween activities so we're doing them today, if you are okay with it that is," Aurora explained and Emily looked up at her with a soft smile.
"There is nothing I'd rather do then be spending my fake Halloween day with you Rory."
Aurora smiled softly as she pressed another tender kiss to Emily's temple before pushing the blankets off of the top of her and standing up to walk to her closet, Emily visibly frowned at the removal of her lover but she sat up in bed anyways just so her eyes could follow Aurora around the room better. Aurora stepped into her closet and pulled out one of her favorite sweaters she owns along with a few other items to pair with it before taking all of her clothes and throwing them on the bed by Emilys feet.
She put on a long white sleeve turtleneck over the black bralette she was originally wearing first, the autumn colored sweater following quickly. She peeled off her grey sweatpants she had worn to bed and replaced it with a short black skirt. She then put on black mesh tights, that she loved to put on under her short skirts, especially in the fall. Autumn was the season of the best outfits in her opinion. She slid her ankle length black socks on and then roughly slammed her feet into her low rising black platform doc martens, she knew that they'd probably leave painful blisters, but they were so cute that she didn't care. Once she had finished the task of putting on an outfit she walked over to Emily giving her a quick kiss before walking into the bathroom to complete the rest of getting ready.
