Two days after the team had gone out of state to go and work on their case, they had solved already solved it extremely quickly and they finally made their way back home. The plane ride back was nearly silent, Spencer and Aurora sitting next to each other both of their eyes quickly skimming the pages of their current read, Spencer glancing at Aurora every so often to see if she had finished the page yet, her returning a small nod. Derek was asleep on the couch and JJ and Emily were whispering to each other about unimportant things in the seats across from Spencer and Aurora. Hotch was finishing up on paperwork, and Rossi had managed to find himself something to drink and was now writing in his small black journal that he took with him everywhere.

"I don't understand the appeal of the two of you reading the same book at the same time. Also your synchronization freaks me out," JJ spoke up and the two readers looked up at JJ then they looked at each other at the same time, their jaws dropping in fake shock.

"How dare you question us as the most superior people on this team? I'll have you know that reading a book with your best friend is very appealing thank you very much," Aurora said sarcastically and Spencer nodded along with her statement. Emily and JJ laughed, Emily focusing more on how beautiful Aurora looked in the moment than anything else, but JJ didn't have to know that. JJ raised her hands in mock surrender and started her conversation that the two nerds couldn't hear with Emily back up.

A few days ago whilst Aurora was still on the case the woman had realized that her and Emily hadn't been able to celebrate Emilys birthday because of the fact that Aurora was still injured on her actual birthday. Aurora was automatically starting to try to plan some sort of fun event or just a special thing to do for the other woman, and she had finally thought of the idea she liked the very best.

She had thought of said brilliant idea right before they left to come back home from their case and it was finally time to begin the execution of the plan. Once the team landed and they all went to the bullpen to quickly collect any straggling items Aurora made her way over to Emily who was quickly packing up her bag to leave the BAU as fast as possible.

"Hey," Aurora started by whispering into her ear and Emily looked up with a smile, "You're not busy later are you?" Aurora asked and Emily shook her head no, "Okay perfect, can you be to my place by 10 tonight?" Aurora asked and Emily nodded at her.

"What do you have planned you crazy woman?" Emily whispered and Aurora smiled with an innocent grin with a matching shrug.

"I guess you'll just have to show up to find out," Aurora said with a soft smile and Emily laughed at her.

"Hey what are you two laughing about over there?" Derek asked from across the bullpen causing a few other agents in the room to look over at the two as well and the two women immediately looked over at him with a set of matching intimidating glares.

"Mind your own business baldspot," Aurora said flatly and Derek put his hands up in surrender while Emily smiled admiringly over at her.

Aurora grabbed her own stuff and walked from the bullpen into the elevator and drove home as quickly as she could, only briefly stopping at the grocery store on the way back home to grab a few things for Emily's surprise she had planned. She still had a lot to do before she would be ready for Emilys arrival. So once she got home she immediately started setting everything up.

Precisely two hours and twenty minutes later Emily Prentiss knocked on Auroras front door, right on time. Aurora opened the front door to see her smiling face and pulled her in for a quick kiss that took Emily aback before Aurora pulled away from Emily and pulled her into her apartment, Emily looked around the place to see absolutely nothing different or special about Auroras apartment which confused her, she had not really known what to expect when Aurora invited her over, but knowing Aurora as well as she did she was expecting something special by the way she was acting. She didn't particularly understand the occasion of the "something special" but she knew Auroras tell, and it's been written all over her body language ever since they finished the case. And if she wasn't doing anything special what was with all the secrecy? "So what is the occasion for this?" Emily asked.
