Aurora rustled around in her bed as she slowly began to wake up on her own accord. This was something Emily had noticed about Aurora, unless she was really anxious or sad the blonde woman hardly slept at all. She'd go to bed way after Emily did and wake up an hour before the alarm clock even went off.

Aurora felt a pair of arms wrap around her comfortingly as she moved around and she felt the same pair of arms pull herself closer to them. Aurora immediately relaxed and moved to try to get as close to the person behind her that even in her sleepy mindset she knew was Emily. She felt Emily pull her closer so that her nose was nestled into the back of her head, right into her messy blonde hair. Emily lowered her lips to the back of Auroras neck, deciding to wake her girlfriend with soft kisses along the back of her body.

Aurora turned over onto her other side so that she could look at the woman, she smiled softly, her eyes still squinting from the bright light coming into her window and not having the energy to keep her eyes open quite yet. "Hi," Aurora said softly and Emily smiled back at her, leaning forward to press a quick kiss onto her nose, and then her lips.

"Hi," Emily responded lazily. The two of them remaining in each other's embrace without another care in the world. Knowing in the back of their minds that they have work and they would have to get up sooner rather than later, but simply being in each other's arms and soaking up each other's warmth felt so much more important in the moment.

"So I was thinking," Emily started and Aurora finally found the urge to open her eyes fully and look at her girlfriend completely. Emily didn't continue her sentence so Aurora nudged her slightly with a short laugh.

"You were thinking what?" Aurora asked with a smile. Pulling her hand up and brushing Emily's hair out of her face.

"Well, we've never been out on a real first date. Just the two of us on a completely normal first date. I mean I feel like we are missing a very significant part of our relationship here without the awkward conversation starters and various other things a normal first date entails," Emily explained her thought process and Aurora nodded skeptically.

"So my movie on the roof, the sunset lake swimming, and my elaborate pumpkin picking days were what? Just us, two best buds hanging out?" Aurora asked sarcastically and Emily slapped her shoulder lightly.

"See that's exactly what I mean!" Emily explained waving her hand to exaggerate her point, "We've immediately skipped to grand gestures, that are almost always planned by you may I add! It's like we've skipped the basics, let's go out to dinner. Something basic, like a super simple first date. I'll pick you up at 7, you'll wear something pretty that makes me all nervous and I'll take you to dinner and we'll talk about the basic things we don't know about each other, then I'll bring you home and walk you to the doorstep and maybe sneak a kiss if I'm lucky. Who knows for sure this is only the first date."

"Well I guess I see your point.." Aurora started, "Fine you can take me to dinner. On the one condition that I pay."

"Obviously not! It's my date, you've already planned three it's my turn, whether you like it or not," Emily argued and Aurora rolled her eyes.

"Fine. But if it's the first date does that mean you're going to go home to your own apartment to sleep tonight," Aurora asked shyly, "Because i'll miss having you around."
