I sat looking at him; I hadn't expected him to be so blunt.

"Why do you think I'm here?"

"Why don't you tell me Lyla?"

"I told you, I miss you, Noel"

"And you thought you could come back here and I would just welcome you with open arms?"

"N-no, I..."

"I ain't gonna be your rebound Lyla, just because your marriage is over doesn't mean I'm gonna let you ruin my relationship too"

"I don't want you to be my rebound!

"I ain't gonna be your anything"

"Noel!"

"I've got Meg and Liam doesn't want you, deal with it"

That was like a knife to the heart; he always knew, but he never used it to hurt me before.

I turned on my heel and let myself out, slamming the door behind me.
I swallowed the lump in my throat and looked up only to come face to face with Liam.

He glared at me and shook his head. "Always runnin' off t'him”

I just glared back "Screw you, we could have made it work, you didn't want to"

"I wasn't the one fucking around for a god damn year"

I nodded "Right, only when I was pregnant"

"That baby wasn't even mine!"

"You don't know that!"

"Do you?!"

"I'll take that as a no"

"It would have been yours regardless!"

"Except when it might have been Noel's"

"LIAM, JESUS CHRIST, YOU WOULDN'T HAVE KNOWN THE DIFFERENCE!"

"SO WHAT WERE YOU GONNA DO, KEEP IT FROM ME FOREVER?!"

I opened my mouth to answer and before I got the chance he slammed the door to his room, leaving me alone in the hallway.

"Asshole" I muttered

I went down to the front desk and got myself a room for the night. I looked up and Guigsy was coming over to the desk.

He smiled leaning on the desk. "Fancy seein' you back 'ere"

I smiled "Hi Guigs"

"Y'come back to work things out with Liam?"

I scoffed with a laugh "No"

"No?" He laughed a little

I shook my head "And Noel's being just as big of an asshole"

"Noel?"

I nodded "He was fully willing to help me destroy my marriage, but now he wants nothing to do with me”

"Well he's got Meg..."

"So what?" I asked "He can help me destroy it and then be happy with her?"

"Doesn't seem really fair does it?"

"Not even a little bit, no" I answered taking the key off the desk.

He followed after me to the elevator "Y'know we're only here for a night, right?"
