Sally jumped up from her chair almost knocking it over. “Pierre!”

She threw her arms around his neck and he lifted her off the floor; she wrapped her legs tightly around his waist

I looked up at Noel as he sat back down “When did you call him?”

He shook his head “I didn’t”

I frowned looking at the clock “How long was I asleep?”

“A few hours…he must’ve gotten on a plane after talkin’ to ‘er”

“Can you blame him?” I asked looking across the table at him “He thought she was dead”

They finally sat down at the table and Noel got up to get Pierre something to eat.

“Hi Pierre” I smiled weakly pushing my hair back

“Hi, Lyla” he said quietly “I’m sorry about your mom”

“I’m sorry we didn’t call”

“I’ve never seen so many cameras in one place before” he muttered taking a bowl from Noel. “Isn’t it weird?” He asked obviously feeling slightly uncomfortable with the whole situation.

“You kind of get used to it” I answered “But right now I wish they would just…go away”

We all sat quietly after that and finished eating.
Afterwards, Sally and Pierre went up to her room and I helped Noel clean up the kitchen.

“We should probably go take Jack off your mom’s hands” I said taking a plate from him to dry

“He’s fine Ly, Mam said she’ll watch ‘im for as long as we need ‘er too”

“I know, but-“

“Lyla, it’s been less than twelve hours; we have a lot of calls to make and things to plan, it’ll be easier to do without having to worry about Jack too”

“Calls?” I frowned taking another plate

He nodded “Y’gotta call your mam’s work, y’got a funeral to plan and,” he sighed “As much as I know y’don’t want to, we’ve gotta go back to that ‘ouse an’ clean it out, move Sally’s stuff in ‘ere”

My shoulders fell as I looked back at him I had completely forgotten about the funeral…I was an awful daughter.

“Oh my god, I can’t do this by myself”

“You’re not gonna have to”

“You’re leaving in a few days for Scotland”

“Y’think I’m gonna go on tour when all this jus’ ‘appened?” He asked

I blinked not sure what to say, I’d just assumed he was going to go; this band was his entire life…that was one thing the Gallagher brother’s had in common.
They loved this band to the ends of the Earth.

“I called McGee an’ cancelled the rest of this year’s dates.”

“The whole year?!” I looked at him in shock

He nodded “Well go back eventually”

“Noel, I can’t ask you to do that”

“It’s already been done, love”

**

The next week was nothing but a whirlwind; Noel had gone to Peggy’s to check on Jack and take him some fresh clothes and more bottles and things.
Sally and Pierre had been joined at the hip and I hadn’t slept properly since that first night.
