________________________________ As school ended, Jiyeon and Nina walked out and separated ways. " Bye, see you tomorrow Jiyeon" Nina leaving first while Jiyeon waved goodbye. " You too Nina! Bye!"
As Jiyeon walked to her house opening the front door, she notices her parents aren't home, making Jiyeon sigh in relief. She puts her bag down to grab an apple from the kitchen table and starts getting ready for her work. As she checks her phone, it is 5:07 pm and Jiyeon starts work around 5:45 giving her almost 30 minutes to get there. Lucky for Jiyeon, the convenience store is only 2 blocks away and probably a 10-minute walk. Jiyeon sits on the couch trying to find something to watch.
While biting her apple, she thought of an idea to watch the news. " NCT has stricken again killing 11 people in this building in Neo City. Please be careful and stay home at all costs" Jiyeon got creeped out about this. " oh well it's fine, at least I can maybe protect myself. I still have to work through" It is around 5:19 now and she starts getting dressed. Leaving the house and trying to close the door, she forgets her phone. As she ran back in and then out in case she was going to be late, she sees the time and is for sure late now.
Sprinting to the store just to make it there in time at 5:44, she immediately gets to work. Now you may wonder why Jiyeon who's a rich girl is working at a convenience store. Well, her parents don't give her any money whatsoever. They force her to make her own money for everything she owns or eats. This explains why Jiyeon doesn't eat much since she can't afford much even if there was a whole fridge packed with food. If her parents found out she cooked or ate their food, Jiyeon would've got beaten.
" Hello, welcome!" Jiyeon is working as the cashier for her boss Mark Lee. She finds it weird how he isn't there most of the time but it isn't her place to say anything. As the guy walks up to the cashier and Jiyeon scanning the items. She notices he looks very familiar to her. She feels like she's seen him before. But she doesn't say anything since it could just be her imagination. " that will be $7.50, cash or card?" She asked the customer waiting for his payment. " uh cash, here you go, keep the change" as he smiles and walks out the door.
The guy handed her a $20 bill making Jiyeon jump in joy. She's never received this much tip and her boss allows her to keep the extras when the customers pay. Jiyeon finishes work at 10:45 and it is 10:30 right now. There haven't been many people coming in probably because of the news. All though Jiyeon is lonely, she isn't that scared. Looking outside the glass window, only seeing darkness and trees with leaves being blown away. With the crescent moon shining through the dark sky. Jiyeon starts getting ready to leave. As she's about to clock out Nina texts her.

As she closes her messages, she puts in her AirPods clicking on Spotify. Clicking her favorite playlist labeled 'music' pretty basic but Jiyeon couldn't think of anything.

As she hums the song while walking home, Jiyeon still can't get rid of what happened earlier. She still can't determine who that guy was. He seemed like he was around her age and seen him before. Jiyeon kept thinking it was from a business party with her parents but it wasn't someone who she expected.
