Pain courses through your nerves,
Delivering electricity to your brain
To signal you have been harmed
When bruises surface on your skin,
When derogatory diction enters your ears,
When melancholy memories surface;
You'd do anything to be absolved:
Drowning yourself in tears,
Drowning others with baggage,
Overdoing your daily obligations,
Remaining sedentary that work accumulates;
But know your best doctor is time,
Enduring the pain until you recover;
Make sure you cope well,
For even doctors need assistance.
