Chapter 5

Warning

*Alcohol Abuse*

A Week Later

On Friday night, my mother was out doing a large sale in Beverly Hills; she'll be out until Sunday. That gives me and Simon freedom to throw a massive party. Our parties are the craziest, except for Harley's raves. That shit is fucking insane.

People from school don't really like Simon and the only person who hangs out with me is Anna. But, we have weekend-only friends. We've got Harley, the supplier of the booze and sometimes drugs. Rogue, who brings the food (munchies). Dominique is in charge of the music, and she never disappoints. And we can't forget Ruby, who invites the people. She always brings a certain amount, there is enough to have a good time, but not too much so the cops come. Their parents are best friends, so they live together.

You know the large group of teenagers that were high the whole time that my mom sold a house to? That's them.

It's also been a week since Wayne and I have seen each other. I haven't even seen him at school, because I steered clear of his classes. I hate my self-indulgence. I can't do anything to him, so the most logical solution to this situation is to avoid and stay angry at him. Right?

Wayne used me to clear his mind and get over Kelsey. He hasn't given me another explanation, and I think it's because he doesn't want to accept the truth. I don't care though. I still want him. I have wanted him for years.

But I don't want it to happen like this.

The party starts at 9 pm, in exactly 37 minutes. I gave myself a blowout and put on my shortest red skirt. I know that Wayne is going to be over here any second, so I took this opportunity to tease the fuck out of him. I wore the lacey black bra he briefly saw me in.

Harley Jameson: open your door me and ruby are carrying in 4,000 bottles of happy juice.

Harley Jameson: Simon's hot friend is here

I rolled my eyes at the last comment and ran down the hallway. I giggled when I opened the door to them cradling the booze.

"Why the fuck are you holding them like babies?" I covered my mouth and moved aside, opening the door wider.

"Who said these aren't my babies?" Ruby said while she and Harley sent them down. She kissed each of the bottles. "I love you, Malibu! I love you, SKYY!"

How many has she had today?

We all walked outside to Harley's white Honda. Wayne's Toyota Camri was next to hers. He leaned up against the car on his phone, but lifted his gaze. Wayne squinted his eyes and exhaled easily through his lips. Yeah, I bet he's enjoying this. He can look, but can't touch.

"Hey, sweetie," Harley murmured in my ear. She put her hand on my lower back. Harley and I have been in this friend status where we flirt relentlessly with each other but we are not together. She wishes she had me.

"I missed you, my whore," I said. Harley walked in front of me and I slapped her butt. "Look at you and your hot ass."

Harley burst into hysterical laughter. I grabbed two bottles out of her trunk. I turned around and saw that Wayne was still by his car, but his expression was completely different. He was in absolute shock.

"Hey, pretty boy!" I yelled to Wayne. He crossed his arms and raised his eyebrows. "Make yourself useful and help us out, would ya?"

I walked through the doorway and set the alcohol on the kitchen counter. Simon started to bring in some as well. Everyone went outside to move the cars down the block. I rested my hands on the marble and studied the drinks. There were 16 bottles; 6 Malibu, 4 Fireball, 4 Smirnoff, and 2 Bacardi 151. Two are missing.
