Chapter 48
A bright light woke me from my deep sleep. I slept on my stomach, which is something I don't do often.
I inhaled deeply, not smelling the coffee scent of him. Instead, lavender flooded my senses.
My eyes were still closed as I reached over to the other side of the bed. I searched for Wayne. Even if he wakes up before I do, he doesn't leave me.
I opened my eyes. I'm not in Wayne's bed. The night before came back to me piece by piece. Drink. Cameron. David. Wayne. Fight. Scream. Cry. Ruby. Dom. Sex. Oh, shit. Sex.
A rush of guilt coated my throat. Someone grabbed my waist and spun me around. Ruby smiled down at me.
"Good morning." Her morning voice was more attractive than ever. I had never noticed all the other times I have stayed with her.
"Good morning." I laughed nervously.
"How did you sleep?"
"Good."
"I'm glad." Ruby brushed the hair out of my face with her long fingers.
"Where is Dominique?" I laid my head on her arm.
"She is downstairs, making breakfast."
I snuggled closer to her. Her body is so warm, her skin glowing. Ruby smiles with her teeth when she sees me check her out. I blushed and laughed nervously.
"Do you think she'll make me some?
"Of course," Ruby said. "You most definitely earned it."
What happened was a little strange. My friends and I flirt with each other, but we have never taken it further than a slap on the ass or kiss on the forehead. I had only kissed Rogue one time at the party. I have never had sex with any of them.
"When I called last night, were you two together?"
"Yes." She furrowed her brows. "Why?"
"Were you two about to have sex or something?"
"No, we weren't. We actually haven't in a while." She noticed my pause and put her forehead on mine. "We just tried to make you feel good."
"You did a good job." I felt my cheeks warming.
"You did a good job, too." Ruby tilted her head to the side.
She kissed me. Our lips fit each other surprisingly well. I moaned. Ruby kissed just as soft as Dom. The longer the kiss lasted, the more desperate I became.
I got on top of her, straddling her body. My fingers ran along her upper body, tracing her chest, neck, and collarbones. Ruby put her hands on the bed next to her head. I slipped her my tongue and hers greeted mine.
I remember the way I felt when Wayne was vulnerable with me. That name he called me. I can't get it out of my head. Mommy. The power I held over him as he fell apart under my hands. It warmed my entire being.
I clasped Ruby's wrists and pinned her down. Her legs rubbed together between mine. I wanted to feel that way again. I wanted to have power over her, Dominique, and hopefully others. The hunger and thirst to see them submitting to me-
In the distance, I hear pots and pans crashing to the ground. This noise shocked me backward and I broke the kiss. I looked behind me. Dom must have been having a rough time making breakfast.
I turned around and looked at Ruby. We started laughing and it ended in a sigh. We held eye contact for a while. Her mouth turned down into a sad smile. The moment was over.
