(They're starting with dorms!)
Izuku sat at his desk tapping his pencil nervously. Bakugo turned around sending him a harsh glare. The smaller boy shrunk back, not daring to look the explosive teen in the eye. Bakugo growled turning his attention back to the lesson in front of him. Izuku hastily scribbled down his notes.
Why are you even trying Izuku?
Izuku bit his lip trying to will away the voice in his head. No matter how hard he tried he just couldn't focus.
Your efforts are meaningless.
Please stop.
Izuku could hear the words leaving Yamada's mouth, but for some reason, his brain couldn't process them. He wrote down the few words he managed to make out.
Why are you still trying Izuku?
Shut up.
You know you can never be a hero.
No, you're wrong.
You don't even have a quirk of your own.
Stop it.
How can you be a hero with borrowed power?
Please leave me alone.
Why didn't you jump when you had the chance? You know you wanted to.
SHUT UP!
Izuku plunged the pencil into the palm of his hand. The taunting voices in his head faded into static. He numbly looked down at his hand as it started to bleed. He sighed raising his non-injured hand.
"Yes, Midoriya!" Yamada said rather loud.
"Can I go to the bathroom?"
"Of course!"
Izuku stood up clenching his hand tightly. He rushed out of the classroom and to the nearest bathroom. He walked over to the sink and pulled out the pencil. Blood started to gush from the new hole in his hand. Izuku cursed under his breath grabbing a handful of napkins. He pressed them against his palm leaving the bathroom. He gingerly walked into Recovery Girls' office.
"Midoriya what can I do for you?" She smiled at him.
Izuku carefully removed the napkins and she gasped. Chiyo motioned towards the bed and Izuku sat. Chiyo kissed his cheek using her quirk. His hand healed up but not completely. Chiyo frowned slightly as she moved to grab what she needed.
He barely has any energy. Has he been overworking himself?
Chiyo started to clean around his wound before wrapping it securely.
"How did this happen?" The older woman asked.
"I got frustrated and wasn't paying attention. I ended up stabbing my hand with the pencil." Izuku mumbled quietly.
Chiyo nodded, "Please try to be more careful. I can tell you're exhausted, take a nap I'll wake you for lunch."
Izuku simply nodded lying down on the comfortable bed. He curled in on himself falling into a deep dreamless sleep.
