15: Tιɾҽԃ

The match suddenly begins and catches Momo off-guard. Tokoyami immediately calls on Dark Shadow to attack. Momo defends herself by creating a shield. She tries to create a pole, but Dark Shadow circles back around and strikes her shield before she can focus on her Quirk. Dark Shadow swings by again and knocks the shield off Momo's arm.

Momo creates another shield and Dark Shadow rams it, knocking her back. The attacks from Dark Shadow suddenly stop, confusing Momo. She creates a pole on her arm preparing to attack, but Midnight reveals that Momo has been knocked out of bounds without her realizing it. Momo looks down to see her foot slide out of bounds and Midnight announces that Tokoyami is the victor.

"See look how quickly that was over! You needing us didn't hinder his performance one bit. So stop with all this "I'm a burden" talk." Kaminari smiled at Izuku.

"Ok," Izuku said quietly.

Tokoyami made his way over to his friends and turned red at the starry-eyed look Izuku was giving him. Dark Shadow grinned at the praise he was receiving. Kaminari was glad the fanboy Izuku wasn't completely gone. He had to admit he always thought Izuku was adorable when he geeked out over quirks.

The match between Tetsutetsu and Kirishima was the least bit interesting so Izuku stood up. Without question, Kaminari and Tokoyami stood up as well and followed him out. They got to the infirmary and saw Aoyama frowning at his support belt. Izuku walked over gently grabbing Aoyama's face and inspecting the large bruise he sported.

Images of 5-year-old him trying to hide his bruises before school crept into his mind. He shook his head and frowned when he saw the pained expression his friend wore.

"What's wrong?" Izuku said quietly.

Aoyama forced a smile, "It's nothing but are you ok? Your pretty eyes are all puffy and red. What happened while I was away?" Aoyama asked brushing Izuku's hair with his hand.

Izuku's frown deepened and he softly pushed away Aoyama's hand much to the sparkly boy's confusion.

"It's not ok to brush off your feelings and focus on someone else's. You always tell me that, remember? You always help when I'm sad...I want to help you too. That's what friends do...right?" Izuku turned to Kaminari and Tokoyami.

"Uhh..." Tokoyami scratched his head unsure and Dark Shadow shrugged.

"Google said that's right so uh yeah you got it" Kaminari looked up from his phone with a thumbs up.

"Oh my god we need to protect them" Chiyo mumbled to Nezu who had walked in unnoticed.

"Of course, they're all my cubs now" Nezu quietly declared.

Aoyama gave a sad smile, "My dad made this for me...before he passed. It was the last thing I ever got from him." he sniffed and the group hugged him.

"I'm sure it can be fixed" Tokoyami reassured him.

"Don't worry we'll do our best to fix this!"

Izuku's eyes slowly started to turn black as his rage overtook him. Dark Shadow felt a cold shiver run down his spine and hugged Izuku.

"Please calm down"

Hearing Dark Shadow's voice Izuku came back to his senses.

"Sorry," Izuku mumbled.

The three boys sat in the infirmary doing their best to cheer up their friend. Chiyo took pictures of the now sleeping boys, sending them to the group chat. Nezu hated that he had to disturb them but it was now Izuku's turn. The friend group ran back to their seats as Izuku made his way to the arena. Izuku's path was blocked and he immediately grew uncomfortable. Izuku tried to quickly pass the fire user only to be stopped by a hand on his shoulder.
