The Dekusquad, now including Sero, sat at their lunch table. They were ignoring the odd stares they were receiving from their classmates. Dark Shadow was going on about some show they'd seen.
Izuku and Tokoyami gave them their full attention while the other three members of the group held their own conversation. When Izuku suddenly sat upright it caught the attention of the table.
"Is something wrong Izuku?" Aoyama asked.
"Friend" was all he said.
"Uh..." Kaminari looked at him confused.
Shinso approached the table nervously and stood behind Izuku. Izuku slid over leaving space at the end of the table. Shinso sat down and waved shyly.
"Hi Izuku, are you still having problems with your quirk?" Shinso signed.
"Yes...I think it may be a mental issue." Izuku signed back with a frown.
He didn't want his friends to know he couldn't use his quirk. It would worry them and he feels guilty when he's their main focal point.
"You know JSL?" Tokoyami asked and Izuku nodded.
"When'd you learn sign language?" Sero said intrigued.
Izuku hesitated for a second before answering, "When I was younger...I thought Kacchan would go deaf because of his quirk. So I spent the whole summer learning sign language." Izuku said quietly.
Tokoyami ran his fingers through Izuku's hair, "You're ok"
Shinso frowned, "Did something happen?"
"You'll find out eventually...It's still too painful for me"
"Oh I'm sorry"
"It's ok" Izuku patted Shinso's head.
The tired boy felt a weird feeling and looked at Izuku puzzled. He was completely oblivious to the pink hue on his face. Tokoyami subconsciously slid closer to Izuku as Kaminari absent-mindedly let off small sparks. Sero snickered as Aoyama rolled his eyes at the oblivious boys.
The group begins getting to know Shinso better and he starts to open up a little. Izuku didn't mind translating for his friends and they continued conversing on their thoughts of things going on in the world. Once lunch was over they said bye to Shinso and made their way to class.

{2 days later}
Aizawa began to explain internships and handed out papers with all the offers they received.
"I'm sorry, I know you'll probably have problems with this agency but you only have one offer and it's mandatory the first time around," Aizawa said sympathetically and handed Izuku his form.
Izuku looked down at his paper confused and his heart dropped. He wanted to be upset but he knew it was his own fault. Who would want him after he had a breakdown during a fight?
Sero leaned over and gently took the paper from Izuku. He read through it and frowned as Kaminari, Aoyama, and Tokoyami came over grabbing it. Sero stood up and went over to Izuku to make sure he was ok.
"I don't fully understand but this has a bad effect on him right?" Sero asked.
"Yeah, past events left him...traumatized," Tokoyami mumbled.
"He has really bad PTSD from those quirk types" Aoyama added.
"Do you want us to see if we can do something about it?" Sero asked softly.
