This man's chest must have been made of steel, because just running into him knocked you out cold. You wake up in your room, but you feel a pair of eyes staring at you.

"What do you want?" you say, trying to convey as much annoyance as possible. You hoped that would hide your complete embarrassment.

"When we said make yourself at home, we didn't mean blacking out in the middle of the hallway."

Great. So everyone knew. "Thanks, Tony, and I might just do it again to make sure I don't have to hear your voice again. It's not my fault that Steve spends waaayy too much time in the gym!"

"Wait, that's how you blacked out?! I thought you ran into a wall! This is way better!" His cackles could be heard throughout upstate New York. NOW everyone knew.

Steve walked in shyly, as if he was more embarrassed than you were. "Y/N, I just wanted to say that I'm SO sorry. I should walk more carefully. I guess I'm stronger than I think I am."

"Guess it only takes one bump into a super soldier to take a nap," you say with a laugh. Your humor seems to have given Steve some relief, but the truth was your head throbbed. "Any chance I could get some Advil?"

--

You walked cautiously through the halls now, on your way to Tony's lab. You wanted to talk to him about getting into Jarvis' system so that you could eventually talk to him. According to Steve, it takes a while to get into the network, so you figured Tony could help.

You secretly knew that you were trying to find any way to talk to him again. You really couldn't help but be attracted to those chocolate eyes.

Distant clanging and occasional curses echoed through the halls as you walked into the lab. "Hey, Mr. Stark, I was wondering if you could let me talk to Jarvis. He seems like a nice guy," you joked.

Tony was wearing his usual Black Sabbath t-shirt, and barely looked up from his newest Mark prototype. "He was programmed to respond to your voice the day you became an Avenger. Did you not get the memo?" Tony took the blank look on your face as a no. "Oh, well, just say your name to activate it and then you can ask him anything," Tony looked at you just long enough to see your excitement.

"Y/N Y/L/N." You said, probably a bit too loud. "Hey Jarvis, nice to meet you," you said with a smile.

"Good morning, Y/N. What can I do for you?" the British voice answered.

"Nothing for now. Just good to meet someone here that won't jump in front of my car or knock me out."

Tony smiled at that, finally glancing up from his work. "You wanna see what I'm working on?"

"Not really. Sounds boring." You said with a laugh while Tony rolled his eyes. "Kidding! Another version of the Iron Man suit?" His lab was filled with parts thrown about carelessly, and several multi-million-dollar cars sitting at the far edge of the lab. Watching him work was amazing; it always had shocked you how smart he was, but sitting with him made you realize he wasn't just smart. He was a genius.

"I'm making a suit that fits any wearer, so that if they need instant protection, you just throw this at them, and... Boom! Another Iron Man. Or woman." He held up a small metal disc. He looked like a 5 year old on Christmas Day, showing off his new toys.

"Anyone, you say?" you replied, hoping he would ask you to be the official tester.

"Yes. Anyone. Including beautiful, talented pilots who just recently became avengers." He stepped closer to you, slowly leaning in. Then, he placed the disc on your chest and encased you in the gold-titanium alloy.

"Whoa, it smells like a new car in here!" AR displays popped up in your line of sight, scanning everything and anything around you, giving you tons of unnecessary information about each object. You wonder if it scanned Tony, would it say "hottest man alive"?

Tony put on his own suit, and flew around the room. "Show-off," you said. "Teach me how to do it!"

"You'll figure it out in no time. You're a pilot, right? Then act like one," the metallic voice said as Tony flew outside the compound.

Ok, just nice and slow. It's like any other plane or helicopter, right? Nice and easy, you thought as you blasted through the wall, flying directly into Tony, who was now lying flat on the front lawn. You had landed directly on top of him, the two of you now face to face.

Tony grunted. "I thought you were supposed to be a pilot!"

"Yeah, I'm good at flying things. But I'm just as clumsy in this suit as I am without it!" You said, retracting your helmet into the suit. Tony did the same, as you stared into each others' eyes, probably a little too close.

"Yeah, but you're really hot in the suit."

"I think there might be some concrete still on it. How are you going to fix the wall anyways? Also, did you say this suit was for anyone but it was really just for me? Because it fits perfectly and-"

Tony kissed you, probably his way of shutting you up. But you kissed him back, because what else were you supposed to do? You were falling for him.
