After the eventful morning, you decide to go back to your room and take a shower. The warm water felt nice, as you washed off the stress of the day. Stepping outside the shower, you turn and see Tony staring directly at you.
"Tony, you perv! How long have you been standing there?!" you say.
"Just got here. I needed to ask you a question." he said, looking cautious but eager.
"What do you want?" you were starting to get a little frustrated. He couldn't seem to leave you alone, and you were getting a little tired of it.
"You never told me about your parents."
You laughed at how random the question was. "Why do you need to know?" Tony stared at you with his brown eyes, with his hair and clothes messy from working in the shop. You gave in. "Can I get dressed first, please?"
"Fine. Meet me in my room in 5 minutes." And that was that. Why was he so concerned all of a sudden about you? Knowing him, he's probably just trying to get into your pants, you thought, sighing as you got dressed.
When you reached Tony's room, you got nervous all of a sudden. You didn't know what he wanted to talk -or not talk- about. "What's up?" you tried to say casually, masking your worry.
Tony was in his room sitting on the edge of his bed, "After the kiss," you rolled your eyes, "I realized I didn't know anything about you. Obviously I googled you, but the internet won't tell you the interesting, juicy stuff about Y/N's life pre-avenger."
You sat down next to him, glancing around his room. For how messy the lab was, his bedroom was actually surprisingly clean. "Well, my dad was a pilot, and my mom was an author. She loved to write poems, and she sold them to small publishers. I don't have any siblings, but I would have liked to. I majored in engineering at Stanford, which you probably already knew, then joined the Air Force. Anyways, when I was 17, my dad took my mom on a plane ride, and they never came back. That juicy enough for ya?"
Tony didn't respond. He just looked at the floor, then to you, then back at the floor. The man was speechless, which was rare. When he finally spoke, he seemed to regain his witty, sarcastic manner. "Wow, we have something in common. Dead mom and pop, what a great bonding moment." He then pulled something out of his pocket. A needle. You stood up and backed away from him, but it was too late. You grunted as he jammed the syringe into your neck.

You woke up in a bright room, and you turned your head to look out the window. Is that the ocean? The peaceful sounds of the waves crashing against the cliff below were all you needed to prove that your guess was correct. How long had I been asleep?
"Good afternoon, Miss Y/L/N. It is currently 7 pm, and it is currently 76 degrees and sunny," Jarvis said. Did the avengers have a safe house on the east coast or something?
"Jarvis, where am I?" you asked, wondering why the hell Tony brought you here, especially using a tranquilizer.
"You're at my house in Malibu," Tony said abruptly, interrupting Jarvis. "I wanted to show you something."
"CALIFORNIA?!" you sprang out of bed. "TONY! You can't just knock people out and take them to your house. That's called kidnapping!" As you yelled at him for a minute, he fidgeted and walked around the room. All of a sudden, he left, and you followed him downstairs. "I can't believe you right now. Why me? Why-" you were interrupted by Tony starting one of his expensive Audi convertibles.
"Hop in," was all he said, putting on his sunglasses. You reluctantly got into the passenger seat, and before you could say anything, he sped up the ramp and out of his driveway. Going about 80 miles an hour along the California coastline, it was impossible to be mad at the man who was stealing your heart.
Deep down, though, you knew he was going to break it.
After a few minutes of driving, he pulled over so you could look at the view. The sun was starting to set over the vast ocean, putting you at ease.
Tony was the first to speak. "So, how do you like it?" From your periphery, you could see that he was staring at you, trying to read your face.
"It's beautiful, but I still don't forgive you for kidnapping me," you glanced at him with a fierce look.
"Well, you hit me with your car, so I think we're even," he shrugged.
You grinned and said, "Why did you bring me here?"
Tony played with his watch, and then put his finger under your chin, turning your head to face his. "To do this." He smashed his lips into yours, and this time you weren't shocked. You kissed him back gently, before it started to become more passionate. You ran your fingers through his hair as he grabbed your waist.
You pulled away, trying to catch your breath.
"I also wanted to ask you if you would be my date to the party at the compound tomorrow. I know this is late in advance, but I would buy you a dress..." he said, as if to bribe you. "Y/N, you've gotta believe me when I say I've changed."
You looked at him, his puppy dog eyes staring into yours. "If I said yes, that doesn't mean we're dating or anything, right?"
"Right. Because you hate me and I hate you, and we're just doing it for publicity," he said, kissing you again.
You smiled into the kiss. "Yeah, publicity."
