The Incident

*The next day

August 22nd

8:08am

"Mm, Mina?" Steven said waking up, "*Yawn* Mina?* He said a bit louder, "I'm out here" She replied from the kitchen, Steven got up and walked out to the kitchen and saw Mina making breakfast, he walked into the kitchen and hugged Mina's waist since she was using the stove, "Good morning, sleepyhead" She chuckled "Good morning" He replied "What'cha making?" Steven asked "Well, I thought since today is so special I would make our favorite.. Chocolate Chip Pancakes!" She exclaimed "Dark chocolate.. obviously" She added "Aww, thanks you" Steven said kissing Mina, "But um, what makes today special. Is it like your birthday, a anniversary, your parents birthday.." Steven asked "No, no. None of those but.. You really don't know what today is?" She asked blatantly "No, should I" He replied "Steven." She said disappointingly   "What?" He asked "Today isn't my birthday so.." She hinted "And?" He persisted "Steven, TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY!" She finally said "Oh, really?" He asked "Yeah, and that is why you not only get pancakes but you get a kiss" Mina said walking over to him, "Oh well, I will always except a kiss" He joked. Mina kissed him and she put her hand around his neck and Steven put his hands around her waist. "Mina.. The.. Pancakes" He said still kissing her, "OH SHOOT!" She exclaimed as she walked back to them worried that they were burning. "Haha!" Steven joked "Hey, I will throw these away" She threatened "Hey, I'm not talking" 

Mina finished the pancakes and put them on the counter before grabbing extra plates from the cupboard. Mina grabbed the plate but she dropped another one and a piece of glass hit her leg, "OW!" She yelled "MINA!" He yelled running out, "Hey, hey. What happened?" He asked "I dropped the plate and it hit my leg, OW!" She explained in pain, "Here, how bad is it?" He asked "I don't think it did much, I think it just scrapped me" She answered "Mina.. That is not a scrape. It's bleeding bad. Here" Steven said grabbing some paper towel, "Ow, careful" She said Mina flinched cause Steven put a wet paper towel on her cut, "Sorry" He said softly "It's okay, it just hurts" Mina reassured "Can you stand?" Steven asked "I-I don't know. We can try" Mina said "Okay, here. Put you arm on my shoulder and I will put my hands on your waist" Steven instructed "There, okay ready?" He asked "Yeah" She replied "Okay, and 1,2,3, Up!" He said helping  her up, "There, are you okay?" Steven worried "Yeah, I-I think I-" Mina said fainting, "Hey, damn it. Mina, Mina. Hey, Hey, Mina" Steven said putting her back down away from the glass, "Damn it, Mina hang on. Okay, hang on" Steven said softly, "Wait.. Mr- He's right outside" Steven said getting an idea. Steven placed Mina on the couch and ran out the door and down the hall as fast as he can, *KNOCK KNOCK* Steven knocked on the door really hard "COMING, CALM DOWN!" A man yelled "Oh Ste- Hey, what is it, what's wrong?" Isaiah asked "It's uh- It's Mina. She fainted, and I don't know what to do" Steven panicked "Okay, okay. Well, I'll have to see her" He advised "Oh-Yeah. She's at her place" 

*Back at Mina's apartment: After Isaiah left*

"Mina, come on. Wake up" Steven said sitting beside her, "Mm?" Mina was slowly waking up, "Hey! Hey, are you okay?" Steven said lightly "Ow! My leg" She said "Yeah, you cut your leg. Do you remember what happened?" He asked "Uh, I think so.. Oh, Steven I'm sorry" She said upset, "Sorry? For what?" He asked "Today's your birthday and with me being an idiot. I ruined it" She apologized, "Hey, hey, no. No, you didn't, you did nothing wrong" Steven reassured "But I was gonna make breakfast and then I did this and.." Mina blamed "Hey, no, no. You didn't ruin anything Mina. And I don't care about the pancakes, all I care about is making sure you are okay" Steven explained "Ow!" Mina said kinda softly, "What?" Steven asked worryingly "My hand.. it's burning" Mina said in pain, "Here, I'll check the cuts and scratches on you hand and on your arm" Steven said untying the bandage, "Ow" Mina said again "Sorry, okay there. Oh my- Mina" Steven gasped "What? What's wrong?" Mina asked "Isaiah said they were bad but I didn't think it was this bad" He explained "Isaiah? Isaiah was here?" Mina asked "When?" She added "After you fainted I got him cause I didn't know what to do" Steven explained "Oh. And he did my bandages?" "Yeah, he did them the best he could, cause we didn't have like a first aid kit or anything" Steven replied. 

Mina stayed on the couch for a bit and Steven just re-wrapped her bandages and cleaned up her wounds on her leg since they were a bit worse, "There, better?" Steven asked "Yeah, thanks" Mina said looking up at him "Do you wanna try walking, now?" Steven asked "Uh-sure" Mina hesitated "If your not ready you don't have to stand. We can wait" Steven reassured "No, I want to" Mina answered "Okay, here. Put her hand on my shoulder and I'll help you up" Steven said lifting her up to her feet, "There, do you feel okay?" Steven asked again "Yeah, I just wanna try walking by myself" Mina said letting go of Steven's shoulder, "Okay, there. You okay?" Steven asked again "Stop asking if I'm okay, if I'm not I-" Mina said slightly falling back, "Hey, hey! Whoa. Hey, Mina" Steven worried catching Mina as she fell "Damn it, Mina. Hey, wake up. Mina!" Steven said tapping Mina's cheeks "Mina! Wake up, Mina!" Steven said "Oh. My- Mina!" Steven panicked seeing Mina's wounds bleeding, "MINA!"
