"So what now?" Steven asked "We get him" Mina replied "How do we do that?" He questioned "I feel like first we should file a restraining order to test him" Mina explained "Yeah, maybe" Steven replied "But we do that tomorrow"
*The Next Day*
*September 8th*
10:30am
"So, let's go over this again" The officer confirmed "Sheldon Albert Gough is who is receiving this against him to keep 25 feet from both of you at all times" He explained "He has, assaulted, threatened, harassed, invaded privacy online and in person, and you Mina are afraid of what he has or may do to you?" The officer asked "Uh- Yes that's correct" Mina replied "Great, this just has to be signed by the chief and commander and the deputy and we are clear" The officer said standing up "Great, thank you" Steven said shaking his hand "Of course" The officer replied walking out. Steven and Mina sat in the room for a minute then they got up and went to the front desk "Hey, sergeant?" Steven asked "Yes?" She replied "Do we know how long the filing process will take?" Steven asked "At least an hour" She replied "Great. So, do we leave or stay for that hour?" Mina asked "You can stay here and then you will be escorted back home and have a officer stake out for two nights to make sure Sheldon respects it" The Sergeant explained "Thank you" Mina replied. Steven reached for Mina's hand and they walked into the room and sat down and waited. Steven called his mom and Mina called her's to let them know what is happening.
*An hour later*
*11:45pm*
"Okay, here you go and there you go" The Sergeant said handing them the restraining order contracts "Thanks" Steven said getting up. Steven and Mina signed them and left. They walked out to the car and a officer followed them back to Steven's house. When they got there a car was in the driveway that they didn't recognize. "Do you know who this is?" The officer asked "No, I've never seen it before" Mina replied "Have you?" Mina asked Steven "No, and it's not my dad's" Steven replied. Steven unlocked the door and the officer opened the door slowly and Steven knew who it was when he walked in, "Wait, do you smell that?" Steven asked "Ugh, what is that" Mina asked "That's Sheldon's cologne" Steven replied "Sheldon?" The officer asked "Sheldon Gough, the man that we filed a restraining order for" Steven asked "Stay here" The officer ordered walking inside more "Are those his shoes?" The officer asked quietly, Steven nodded and The officer reached for his gun and pulled it out in case of emergency.
"Babe?" Mina said shakily "What do we do?" She added "We wait" He replied "We just have to wait"
