Safehouse

Mina fell asleep before Steven got back to the bedroom but when he got there he didn't notice. "Hmm? Oh" Steven said with a chuckle. Mina was asleep on top of the covers so Steven just lied beside her on top of the covers, "Mm? Babe? What are you doing?" Mina asked looking up at him "Just laying down. Here come here" Steven said picking her up a bit and putting her on his chest, "Mm, My Pillow" Mina giggled putting her head down on his chest, "Hmm, I'm your pillow" Steven said, before kissing her head. Steven played with Mina's hair and he just held her. About 15 minutes later Steven fell asleep himself.

*The Next Morning*

September 3rd

9:30am

Steven woke up and Mina wasn't there so he got up and what he saw horrified him. He saw Sheldon, he was pinning Mina down and had his hand on her throat. "GET OFF!" Mina yelled "No" Sheldon refused "GET OFF HER!" Steven said throwing Sheldon to the ground and beating him. Once he got Sheldon down he attended to Mina, "Hey hey. Look at me, Mina!" Steven said trying to get her to wake up, "Mina! Hey, hey" Steven panicked "WHAT DID YOU DO!" Steven yelled "What had *cough* to be done" Sheldon argued, Steven punched him and Sheldon had cuts everywhere on his face, but Steven needed to help Mina. So he picked her up and took her to the bedroom then he dealt with Sheldon.

Once he got Sheldon down and he called the police Mina had woken up but she couldn't speak cause Sheldon had a big grip on her throat when he was holding her down, "How do you feel?" Steven asked "F-Fine" Mina struggled to say "Shh. Don't talk too much" Steven said crouching in front of her. Steven looked up at Mina and Mina had tears in her eyes. "Hey, Shh. Mina, Shh" Steven said holding her. Steven held her tight and put her on his lap. Mina put her head on his shoulder and she was slightly shaking cause she wasn't crying of sadness. She was crying of fear, "Shh, I'm here. I got you" Steven said softly, hugging her tighter "Steven" Mina said still struggling to talk "What?" He said letting her up a bit "I'm scared" She whispered "I know baby" Steven comforted wiping the tears from her face "I don't- Don't want to be here" Mina struggled to say, "Okay, pack some things" Steven said grabbing a box "Where?" She asked "My place, Sheldon doesn't know where I live" Steven explained "O-Okay" Mina replied.

*Two hours later*

11:30am

"Come on in" Steven said opening the door, Mina walked into Steven's house and saw two extra pairs of shoes. She didn't want to ask so she just pointed to them. "Oh, hang on. I'll show you" Steven said putting the bags down and walking to the stairs, "MOM! I'M HOME!" He yelled up the stairs, Mina heard running and she thought that Steven was in trouble. "Honey? Where- Oh Hi Mina" Dakota replied seeing Mina. Mina waved and Dakota looked confused, "She can't talk mom" Steven stated "Why? What happened?" Dakota asked "Sheldon happened" Steven replied "Sheldon, You mean. Kristy Gough's son?" Dakota added "Yep, that would be the one" Steven replied "But I thought-" "He faked it mom" Steven interrupted "What? How?" Dakota asked "That video of his jumping, he survived and he was determined dead cause his body was never found. But he attacked her today. And he was the reason you saw that missing person's report the other day for Mina. He took her for two days" Steven explained "Oh my- Mina I'm so sorry" Dakota sympathized "I-It's okay" Mina struggled "Baby, don't talk" Steven demanded "Baby? Wait are you two?" Dakota asked "Dating, yes. Now can we move on" Steven asked walking to the stairs "CHRIS CAN YOU COME HELP ME WITH SOMETHING?" Steven yelled "YEAH, COMING" Chris said coming down the stairs. Chris is Dakota's son that she had when she took Steven in, "Hey- Oh who's this?" Chris asked "This is Mina" Steven introduced, Mina shook Chris's hand and she and Dakota walked to the kitchen so Dakota could see what the damage was on her throat. (Dakota is a doctor). "She seems nice" Chris noted, picking up some bags "Easy Chris, she's mine" Steven argued "Sure, we'll see about that" Chris joked "Ugh, whatever. Can you just take these to my room and just put them on the bed?" Steven asked "Yeah, wait which room?" Chris asked "My bedroom Chris"

*In the kitchen*

"Well, the damage isn't permanent. But it will take about a week to heal. So take these for the pain and restrict your talking" Dakota explained, Mina nodded and walked back out and upstairs. She heard Steven's voice so she walked up to the room but stopped cause she heard her name,

*In Steven's room*

"So Mina. You like her?" Chris asked "Yeah duh" Steven said blatantly "Oh, well do you love her?" Chris asked "Of course I do. Why are you asking so many questions?" Steven asked "To see if it's possible for me to steal her from you" Chris laughed "You try and your dead. She's MINE. I love her and she is my baby" Steven argued. Chris walked out but didn't see Mina before shutting his bedroom door. Mina smiled lightly before knocking on the door, "Come in" Steven said. Mina opened the door and Steven saw the look in her eyes, "You were listening weren't you?" Steven asked, Mina giggled and Steven walked over and put his hand on her waist, "I love you" He said softly "I love you too" Mina mouthed
