The Attention Seeker

I can't do this

*The Next Morning*

September 4th

7:45am

"Steven? Steven wake up" Mina shook him, "Mm? Mina go back to sleep it's midnight" Steven whined "No it's not, it's 7:45 in the morning and we have a meeting" Mina argued "Okay and?" Steven said turning over "We will be late. We have to go to our college meeting" Mina told. Steven looked at Mina and Mina glared at him til he finally got up, "Ugh, Fine" Steven gave in, "Yay, hey" Mina said grabbing his hand, "What now-" Mina leaned over his shoulder and kissed him "Good morning" She said softly "Hmm" He giggled before kissing her again bit longer, "Hm. Steven. We. Have- Mm, We. Have. To. Go" Mina said in the kiss, "Five minutes" He whispered "No, no-" Mina argued as Steven kissed her again. 

*At the meeting*

8:00am

"So you have officially passed your grade 12 year" The announcer announced *Everyone claps*. "I would personally like to congratulate all of you for succession this far into your years" He complimented *All cheer* "Now I will call you up one at a time to collect your award". One by one all of the students went up and walked to the stage and collected their awards. "Mina Robinson" The announcer called "Baby, go" Steven pushed. Mina walked up and received a diploma for a job that she didn't know she got accepted for and she got an award for most succeeded student. 7 others were called before Steven "Steven Roberts" The announcer called. Steven walked up and also received a letter for a job and an award for hardest worker. But one thing caught Steven's eye, "And our final award winner, Steven Gough" The announcer called. And when Steven turned around everyone was shocked to see Sheldon walking up to the stage, even his mom. Because his mom was there for his sister, not him. "Mr. Gough received the most likely to succeed award. Mina had a face of fear in her eyes when she saw Sheldon. She was frozen. He look right at her and winked. But the only problem was there was only one seat left and it was right beside Mina so Steven and her switched. 

Sheldon sat down beside Steven but Steven didn't move a muscle, "Well, isn't this fun. The three friends together again. It's a shame you all forgot about me when I left. Oh well" Sheldon stated "Wait, is that what all of this is about. That we didn't talk to you when you left?" Mina asked "Why yes. Cause none of you cared" Sheldon stated "Sheldon, it isn't that we didn't care. It was that you stopped talking to us so we just let you be. We weren't ignoring you, we were happy for you, we were excited to see you. We didn't forget about you. The fact that you thought that is ridiculous" Mina said getting up and walking away. "Mina. Nice going" Steven smirked. "Mina wait" Steven said running after her. "Where are they going?" Dakota asked "I don't know" Samantha replied 

*Behind the school*

"Mina, baby. Hey" Steven said walking in front of her, "What?" Mina said angrily "You can't walk away from the ceremony" Steven reasoned "I'm going home" Mina argued walking away "Mina. MINA!" Steven yelled. Mina ignored him and just got in her car and drove home. Steven ran back around and the ceremony was over and Dakota could tell something was wrong. "Honey, what is it?" Dakota worried "Mina left. She's pissed" Steven stated grabbing his stuff, "I'll just head back you guys can stay and I'll call her from there" Steven said walking away, "Do you think this has something to do with their argument with Sheldon?" Dakota asked "I don't know" Samantha replied. 

Steven drove back to his mom's place and saw that Mina's shoes weren't there, "MINA!" He yelled. He ran upstairs and some of Mina's stuff was gone. "Oh you have got to be kidding me" Steven yelled, running back downstairs and out the door. Steven drove back to Mina's old apartment and when he got there he saw Mina's car. "Good at least she is here" Steven said to himself. He ran back inside used his key and took the elevator to the 12th floor. He ran down the hall to Mina's apartment and used his key to get in, "MINA!" Steven yelled, opening he door "Oh great" Mina said to herself. "Babe." Steven said, walking in to the bedroom and seeing Mina. "What are you doing?" Steven asked "I can't stay there Steven. I can't stay with you" Mina said packing her bag "What and you think living here is better?" Steven argued "I'm not staying here either. I'm going to live with-" Mina paused "With who?" Steven questioned "My dad" Mina stated "Your moving to Michigan?" Steven asked "I have to" Mina said walking out to the main room.

 "What- How long?" Steven stated "What?" Mina asked "How long?" He repeated "A few weeks?" Mina stated "You knew you were gonna leave for weeks and you didn't tell me!" Steven yelled "Yeah. basically" Mina stated "When? When Mina?" Steven yelled "Tomorrow" Mina said "What?" Steven said shocked "I'm leaving tomorrow, my mom has all my stuff" Mina explained "SAMANTHA KNOWS TOO!" He yelled even louder "Yeah she does" Mina stated "So I move in with you and we switch places. I invite you to my house, your there for a week and what. Now your moving to Michigan. That's messed up" Steven said "Here" Steven sad handing her, her key, "Thanks. And you can have this back" Mina said throwing a ring and a necklace at him. "What- No, Mina put the ring on. At least. Please" Steven begged "There's no point, I can't keep the promise. The promise was that I would never leave you, that's a lie" Mina stated "So your breaking up with me?" Steven asked "This isn't gonna work Steven, we can't work" Mina said "Can I have it back now?" Mina asked "Yeah, here" Steven said putting a ring on the table and walking away, "No, Steven wait" Mina said walking behind him. Steven turned around and kissed Mina one last time.
