Christophsis, again

I have fond memories of Christophsis. It's where I met Obi-Wan and Anakin for the first time.

So one could say that I was displeased to learn that senator Bail Organa's relief mission on the said planet was being interrupted by the Separatists.

Anakin had jumped at the chance for another mission, staying at the temple for a prolonged period of time was chafing at him. He quickly pulled together a fleet and went rushing off to play the hero, though Obi-Wan gave him strict orders not to engage. Now my General, Captain, and I were pulling out of hyperspace to save his butt.

Again.

"Looks like General Skywalker's already engaged the enemy," Cody says, studying a diagram of the battlefield. Battlespace? Whatever.

Obi-Wan performs his BeardStrokeTM and states dryly, "That's nothing out of the ordinary—Especially since I gave him a direct order not to."

We push on to attack the blockade. Anakin's command ship was taking heavy fire, no doubt irking him to no end. My General pulls up a holocall for him.

"Anakin! I want you to withdraw," Obi-Wan says, no small amount of ire lacing his voice.

"Withdraw?!" Anakin seems a little lost in the battle.

I roll my eyes and smirk. "Yes, I realize you may be unfamiliar with this concept, but it's the smart thing to do. Besides, we brought a new... toy... which will help us when we try again, as we undoubtedly will."

"Ellor. Always a pleasure," he says, sighing in annoyance.

"With all due respect, now may not be a bad time to regroup!" Admiral Yularen insists, his strict face earnest.

Confliction ripples over Anakin's face, but he orders the transports to retreat to my position. We'll take cover behind one of Chrstophsis' moons. He clearly doesn't like the idea though.

The transports peel away from the fleet and duck behind the moon, the republic cruisers following suit. When we're safe, (or at least as safe as one can be in a war zone), Anakin takes a shuttle over to our ship.

"Well, here I am. Tell me about this new weapon," he says dubiously. I'm already sitting invisibly atop it.

Obi-Wan says, "You're looking at it." He and I enjoy the look of confusion on Anakin's face.

"Just keep walking forward and I'm sure you'll find it," I say mischievously from my perch. He glances up at where my voice is coming from, and I shimmer into view.

"Ellor? What are you sitting on?" Anakin is so confused, it's hilarious. Obi-Wan nods, a clone hits a button, and the invisible ship I was sitting on flickers into view.

"It's a stealth ship," Obi-Wan says, like it's so obvious and he can't believe Anakin didn't get it earlier.

"Huh. Good trick," Anakin says it lightly, but I know his brain is already shooting off with its battle capabilities and how it's possible.

"Let's hope the separatists don't agree," I say cheerfully, sliding down its curved surface as we walk alongside it.

"So I assume scanners can't detect it." Anakin's tone is manner-of-fact, it's not exactly a question. It'd be a pretty bad ship if it showed up on scanners.

"As far as we know, but this is the first real field test." Obi-Wan was hesitant about using it in this high-stakes mission, but I reminded him that it's never not high stakes. He relented after a reasonable discussion, aka heated argument. Whatever works. I tune back in as Obi-Wan says, "I figured you'd be up for the challenge?" Let's hope so.
