Ellor's POV
Tatooine.
I did not explain myself to General Kenobi. Maybe someday I can talk to someone about it, but not today. Not right now.
Anakin had accepted Ahsoka, something about her wild recklessness called to him, which was fortunate for my fellow padawan. BUT since Anakin is, well, Anakin, they were the ones rescuing Jabba's son. We were just backup. Bah.
Several updates later, wishing I was on the planet even if it was as bad as Skywalker said, the clone captain they called Rex needed backup. The seppies had invaded his position and he needed help.
"You up for it?" Obi-Wan asked. I grinned and rolled my eyes.
"Finally some ACTION. What kind of fighters will we be using?"
"Basic ones. Nothing too fancy for your first real combat flight."
"Boring, but let's get moving." We jogged to the hangar and got in the ships.
Obi-Wan led the pilots as we rushed to the rescue. With one thing and another, we left the pilots to help the Captain, and then Obi-Wan and I raced off to help Anakin. As we reached the back landing platform, we saw a black silhouette against the skyline we halted. Two twin sabers lit up.
Red.
"Master Kenobi! Always chasing after Skywalker. How predictable."
"Anakin leaves quite a mess, which always leads me to you, Ventress." He lit his saber.
"Take him" The wannabe sith pointed her lightsabers at Obi-Wan.
"She hasn't sensed me yet. I'm not here." I whispered in his ear. My light-knives remained on my belt, it was easier to conceal them this way. Kenobi, who had been deflecting the shots of the droids, nodded and took out the blemmyae-like droids with practiced ease. We walked into the cavernous space where Ventress was hiding.
"Ventress, I know you're here. You can't hide. I feel your frustration. Let me guess, you're after Jabba's young son too."With a cry, the Night Sister lept down next to him and attacked. Once my master deflected, she retreated and threw her cloak at him, blinding him temporarily. Nice move, Ventress. Obi-Wan was too skilled for that to work though. He parried, and smirked. "You'll have to do better than that, my darling"
He attacked her in turn, and she blocked. By putting her lightsabers on either side of his, she wrenched it out of his hands. "Well. Now I'm impressed." My lightsabers flew out from my belt and turned on, just in time to block Ventress's next attack. My master rolled away, expecting it, so I suppose my protection had been unnecessary.
She hissed. "What new power is this, Kenobi?" She continued to attack him, and I continued to parry it for him. He raced over to his lightsaber and picked it up again.
"Shall we continue?" Man my general had snark.
"With pleasure." She snarled.
They lunged for each other, their lightsabers flashing in a dangerous dance. I could recognize the hints of Ataru in my master's Soresu. I don't think Ventress uses an ordinary Jedi form. Ugh, I hate seeing similarities between us.
Obi-Wan wall-jumped up two pillars. Ventress followed him. "We know of Dooku's plot to turn the Hutts against us. It will not work."
She hissed again. "It will when the truth dies with you." She yelled and attacked again, with more fervor than before.
When they finally broke apart, I figured it was time to end this. My two blades again lifted and attacked her from behind. She sensed it at the last second and ducked, sending one flying. I wove it back with the force, and Obi-Wan, seeing Ventress's distraction, lunged again. With the three sabers attacking her at once, she had to retreat. She jumped out of a window, my master and I following suit. I let myself become visible, this fight would be easier if I didn't have to put energy into that as well. We landed on a pipe-like bridge.
"Ah, so you're the slight tremor in the force I was feeling." I gave her a cocky smile. "Regardless-" She was cut off by the sound of an engine. We all watched as an old rustbucket of a ship flew into the atmosphere.
"You've lost, Ventress. Anakin has escaped." Kenobi said. She growled. Without warning I attacked again, beating her further back. But with a flick of her hand, I was sent flying back into the wall. Oh, carabast. I could draw on the force and keep fighting, but I could almost die when I came out of it. I would stay here for the time being, conserving my energy if Obi-Wan needed it.

It was foolish of Ellor to attack then. Sith draw their power from fear and rage. At the time Ventress was feeling plenty of both, making her more powerful. Also, Jedi do not attack without provocation. I would need to drill that into her, though she had seemed perfectly content to let me do the fighting before.
Ventress hit a button on her wrist. Fearing what it did, I advanced on her. She attacked again, and I just managed to knock one of her lightsabers out of her hand before a vulture droid swooped below our position and she jumped onto it. We failed to capture Ventress, but since Anakin had the huttlet, the mission looked to be a success. I walked over to my padawan. "Are you alright?"
She groaned. "Yeah. Got the wind knocked out of me, and sore all along my back."
"Can you walk?"
"I think so." She took a shaky step forward. "Yeah."
"Good. Note for the future: a sith relies on their emotions for their powers. Ventress was feeling scared and angry when you attacked her, so it was easier to lash out in the force."
"Understood, General."
"Good. Let's head back to the cruiser. We can have Kix patch you up." If he's not too busy with worse injuries.
"Kix?" Ah right. I forgot she doesn't have names memorized yet.
"Best medic in the 501st or 212th. Hopefully he's not too busy."
"So he can help me, or because then there wouldn't be many injured soldiers?" Ah, she gets it. Ellor seems to understand the results of war, something most padawans don't when they enter the front. Probably part of this elusive past.
"Both. Let's go."
We walked back to the front of the old monastery, my padawan remaining straight-backed the entire time. I could sense the exhaustion emanating from her, though. I think it takes more energy to remain camouflaged than she lets on, though it may also be 'disappearing into the force' thing. "Are you still drawing on the force?" I asked her.
She glanced up at me. "A little. Helps me walk with good posture and keeps the pain at bay. I'll let it go when I can rest."
I nodded. We walked into a shuttle which took us up to the cruiser. I sent her off to rest in the med bay and went to the command deck for a debriefing.

Aboard Ventress's ship:
Ventress knelt before a sinister hooded figure. "Master. Kenobi has gained a powerful apprentice."
"There is another reason for this call other than to alert me to a fact I already know." Dooku's chilling voice echoed through the empty ship.
"Yes, my lord. The apprentice is a Shola."
"Ah. Now that is new information. I thought they were wiped out." Ventress remained silent. "Obviously not. Now that is valuable information we can exploit."
"Yes, my lord." Ventress bowed her head again, and the transmission went silent.
