"Loki, look at that one!" A young Analia exclaimed. Her eyes widening as she pointed up at the sky, motioning to a shooting star.

A young Loki turned his head to look at her, taking in the elation on her face as she watched the star fall. He felt something warm in his chest. This was a new feeling. Not the same as the delight or the general pleasure he felt being in the company of his friend. This feeling was different.

She turned to meet his gaze, acknowledging how attentively how he was studying her. Her brows furrowed.

"What?" She whispered.

Loki inhaled deeply, adverting his eyes and nervously fidgeting with his hands.

"Just... promise that you won't leave me." He replied, causing Analia's eyes to widen in concern.

"Loki, I would never." She inched closer to him and took his hand. "We are best friends remember. I'm not going anywhere."

Analia made her way back to the palace to find Loki. She walked briskly with her head down trying to contrive what she would say to him. How she could possibly put into words the feeling he gives her even just by thinking of him. How she wished she could share this with her mother. She would know exactly what to do.

Analia never thought she'd be in love. In love the way the characters her mother's books were. So utterly consumed with eachother. The thought of allowing someone to know you to intricately, terrified her. But that someone being Loki took away her unease. She thought her life would simply consist of battles and training and wishing she could find greater adventure. But perhaps this was where the life she thought she would never have would begin.

"Analia!" A voice broke her from her thoughts, she raised her head to see Thor walking swiftly  towards her.

"Thor-"

"We're late! There's no time, come on!" He grabbed her hand, leading her to where hundreds of Asgardians were gathered for the coronation of their new king.

"Sif, Cassius and the Warriors Three are waiting for you, go." He ushered her into the hall.
"On the steps across from my mother and Loki."

"I'm proud of you Thor." She said, placing her hand on the side of his face. He smiled at her, before she entered the hall and took her place between Sif and Cassius.

"Lady Analia." Cassius said, nodding his head respectfully. Sif smiled at Analia before resuming her thorough study of the large doors, waiting for Thor to enter.

"So...did you? I mean." He whispered, leaning in so only she could hear him. She shook her head, which earned a disapproving look from him.

"I'll do it after." She dispelled. Cassius smiled in acceptance and increased the distance between them again.

Her gaze fixated on Loki across from her, who quickly looked down at the ground. It was clear to Analia that he had been watching her, which made her smirk ever so slightly.

As Thor entered the hall the cheering began and Fandral and Volstagg were especially loud which only made Analia smile further. But Loki never looked up from the floor, he looked so hurt. Understandably so, this was all he'd ever wanted. The crown which would come with his father's approval.

Seeing him so visibly upset hurt Analia. She wanted nothing more than to go and wrap him in a warm embrace. To tell him that she loved him and she always has. To tell him just how much he meant to her, that he was enough and much more, something he'd rarely heard in his life.
