"Father please, you cannot just leave her-"

"Silence!" Odin's voice echoed throughout the throne room.

"This matter is between Felix and his daughter. She defied him and now she must face the consequences."

Loki stood before Odin, speechless once more. He turned around and walked out, the guards shutting the heavy doors behind him. The guilt was eating him alive. He knew how Analia had felt about him telling Felix she was planning to leave for Midgard. He did it to protect her. Or did he? Was he just afraid of losing the one person who truly understood him? The only friend he really had? He knew that Sif and the Warriors Three were his 'friends' because of Thor. But Analia, she was truly his friend.

A memory of them as children instantly crossed his mind. After Analia's mother passed away, she spent much time in the palace under Friggas care, for her father was often fighting on another realm. As children, they enjoyed causing mischief, which mostly comprised of playing tricks on Thor. Sure, Loki would use magic to scare his older brother, but Analia taught him a few non-magic tricks.

"Stop moving the door, you're going to ruin it!" A young Analia commanded, her brows furrowing.

"I just don't understand how this will work." A young Loki mumbled back to her, looking around the kitchen worryingly.

"You'll have to wait and see." She smiled at him cunningly and turned her head sharply at the sound of footsteps.

"Quick! Hide!" She mumbled, grasping Loki's hand in her own and dragged him along with her to hide behind a table.

The door to the kitchen was pushed open by a young Thor, instantly causing the bucket full of water that Analia had perfectly placed on top of it to fall onto his head and soak him.

"Argh!" He belted, lifting the bucket off of him and spitting water out of his mouth.

Analia and Loki erupted into laughter, earning a glare from Thor who peered behind the table to see them on the floor in stitches. He could remember how it warmed him to see her smile, and hear her laugh.

"Prince Loki?"

Loki was abruptly brought back to present day, to see Cassius before him with a look of confusion on his face.

"Cassius." He uttered, rolling his eyes, already sick of his presence.

"What's happened? Why is everyone awake at this hour?" He inquired, looking around at all the guards and furrowing his brows.

Loki followed his gaze towards the guards and opened his mouth to respond. But he was cut off by Felix.

"Just my daughter's theatrics yet again."
He boomed, letting out a small chuckle. Slapping Cassius on the back. He nodded in understanding, which earned him a sour look from Loki.

"I can't think where she gets it from."
Loki hissed, rolling his eyes. He really hated Felix, he always had. He had been very harsh towards Analia, just as Odin was to him, but she didn't deserve it.

Earning a glare from Felix, he paused before he clasped his hands together.

"Well, I think this is a matter for the morning. I'm exhausted and you-" He pointed towards Cassius.
"You need to prepare for tomorrow to win my daughter's favour." He exclaimed.

Cassius chuckled, and bowed his head at Loki before departing back to his chambers.

Loki simply scoffed, leaving Felix at the door of the throne room before he could irritate him further, he began walking down the large hall of the palace. The thought of someone like Cassius even thinking about someone like Analia made him sick. He could never truly know her. How she saw the beauty in the simplest of things. How she would sneak off into the woods behind the palace after training.

His mind drifted to their kiss. How soft her lips were against his. How he'd been waiting for that moment nearly his whole life. How it was everything he hoped it would be, and more. But mostly how he was shocked she could even feel something towards him. He'd always feared that Thor would sweep her off her feet. That his brother would get everything he ever wanted. That when he would get the throne, he would have everything. His fathers approval, and Analia.

Analia was awoken by the sounds of prisoners conversing with each other. It took her a second to recall the events from the night before, and to acknowledge the fact that her father had put her in prison.

Footsteps diverted her attention, she looked up to see her father standing in front of her cell. She simply scoffed and turned away from him.

"Analia please." He pleaded. She wasn't having any of it.

"Go away." She muttered.

"I'm here to release you. You deserve to bathe and change into fresh clothes." He insisted.

"And then I return to the cell is that right? How generous, father." She sneered, finally turning around and meeting his gaze.

The golden barrier separating them dropped and Felix stepped inside the cell, holding out his hand.

Analia scoffed yet again, and stood up briskly. She walked towards him, looking him directly in the eye.

"I am not a pawn in whatever game you've decided to play, father." She hissed, resuming her brisk walk out of the cell. Norns was she glad to be out of there.

Guards accompanied her to her chambers where she was met by ladies maids to help her get ready. Most likely sent by Frigga, she dismissed them though, wanting to be in her own company and not ready for any questions they might ask or any of their attempts to comfort her.

After she had bathed and changed into clean clothes, sat on the edge of her bed and reached for the book she'd been reading. Before she could open the cover she was interrupted by a knock at her door.
