I saw Daphne and another girl sitting in between her parents as they all looked at me. Across from them, I could see Blaise sitting next to his parents as well, all shocked of course.

"Yes, Riddle. Snape was just to uncover her, but know that you'll join us I believe it was better for you to know" My father spoke. I tried to seem confident and strong as always, but something stopped me from thinking straight. I don't know what I was feeling, but I felt almost, bad for lying to people who actually almost seemed like, Friends. I just tried to look everywhere but at the two surprised and betrayed faces that sat on the table as my father continued to speak.

"Although I hadn't thought of anyone officially joining us this evening, I believe I will be marking someone, rather special" I quickly turned to my father confused.

"Why don't you come up here. Blaise" My father said gesturing for Blaise to come in front of him. I felt like I was running short on air. I could never imagine Blaise the nice boy, being a part of this.

"Or rather, come do us the honors why don't you Stephanie?" My father said. My father was testing me, to see if I had become weak. I didn't want to. I slowly, very slowly stood up as everyone stared at me, I did not want to see Daphne's face right now, it would crush me. As I got to Blaise my father took a step back. He told Blaise to roll up his sleeve in his left arm. As I slowly brought my wand to his arm, I remembered, if I grab him, it won't hurt. So I grabbed his same arm with my free arm and started giving him the mark.

He didn't make a single move, he just watched as the mark slowly started showing on his sleeve. I felt bad. It seemed as my father had forgotten what I could do, so he seemed extremely disappointed as I finished. I let go of his arm. He just stared at the mark, as my father motioned us to go sit. The rest of the time I just stared at the floor as my father spoke his plans, that I already knew

"Now next time you come here, we will be joined by your other classmates," my father said directing his voice towards Blaise and Daphne.

"And we might have a new member or two" my father continued.

I refused to look up and see the disappointed faces looking at me. What did they expect me to do!? Disobey my father? I had to do whatever my father said, and I wanted to. I wasn't going to feel bad or disobey my father just because of some stupid kids I had met a few months ago.

I got my confidence back and held my head high once again. I couldn't show weakness. I slowly turned to meet the face of Daphne looking directly at me, she had probably been strong at me this whole time, it's what it seemed like.

Her expression was blank like she didn't know what to think. I looked at her for a brief moment scanning her appearance, then turned to my father.

I wasn't listening to what my father was saying, I was just looking at him. Either way, I knew what he had planned, I knew everything except what he was going to do with my frien- classmates. I thought of what he was capable of and thought of the worst.
With my father, I learned to always think of the worst.

After a while, I heard chairs being pushed against the floor. I looked up to see all the death eaters getting up, except Draco's parents, Daphne's, and Blaise's parents. Pansy's and Theodore's parents stood sitting as well. As all the kids were all besides their parents except for Pansy and Theo.

I thought for a moment and went to get up but my dad stopped me and told me to sit, I did as he said and sat at the chair beside him.

"Now, everyone here knows that their children have met my daughter and that some of them are to join me" I looked at him, he wasn't going to mark all of them, for now.
