"Sorry! Sorry! Please don't cry. Get up ka na, red light na!"
I searched for that voice and saw a little boy who's already panicking because of horns of vehicles. He's trying to pull up the little girl who stumbled and they're in the middle of pedestrian crossing. The pedestrian light was already turned red which signals to stop.
I was about to run closer to them and help them but I suddenly stopped when I saw the little boy gave a back ride for the crying girl and ran as fast as he could. I smiled because of that scene.
I sipped at my cup of coffee and sat on the bench near me.
"Are you ayos na? Sorry ha, I didn't mean to bunggo you ha baka you think sinadya ko. I'm chasing my classmate kasi that's why nagmamadali ako. Don't cry na ha," the boy said.
"Nagkasugat ako sa tuhod dahil sayo," the girl replied with irritated tone.
"Wait! I have band-aid here," the boy said while searching for it inside his Spiderman bag. "Let me put it to you ha," he asked for permission.
"Done! Are you still galit ba? Sorry ulit ha. Can you accept my apology na?" he said with sincere tone.
The girl stared at him with blank expression but it was immediately replaced by a smile.
"Cool na! Apology accepted na," the girl replied with a smile and messed up the boy's hair.
"Don't mess up my hair again," the boy said with raised eyebrow and while poking the girl's forehead. The girl just laughed at him.
"We are with the same uniform. What grade are you and what's your name by the way?" the girl asked.
"I am Lucas Molter, 6 years old. I am grade 1 student and my teacher is Ms. Melody," the boy introduced with enthusiasm. "How about you?"
"I am Heidy Gordon, 6 years old. I'm also from your class and I don't know why ngayon lang kita nakilala," the girl replied and they been both confused why they didn't know each other.
"Let's go! We need to go inside our school. We are already late," the boy initiated with worried tone.
"I don't care," the girl shortly replied with straight tone. The boy got amused eyes because of it.
"May I ask something?" the boy suddenly asked while they were walking. The girl just nodded. "Can you be my friend?" the girl stopped and look at him directly on his eyes.
"Anything you want," she answered with a wink. By the second time the boy got amused by her.
"Bestfriend then," the boy announced with wide smile.
"Oh my ghad! Sorry po!" my thought was cut off by a ball hitting the coffee that I was drinking. I picked the ball and handed it to highschool sporty student who felt sorry to what he'd done. It was just an accident so it doesn't matter to me even my clothes got wet and stained.
Lawn tennis ball. I remember something.
"It's okay just be careful next time," I said with a smile. He said sorry again and bid a goodbye after that. I looked at my dress. I think I need to change. I don't want to see him again like this.
I waited for pedestrian light to turn into green for me to walk across the street. I was walking peacefully until I reached the half of the lane and bumped into someone.
"I'm sorry!" we apologized in unison as we also bowed our head. I saw things that fall off. I quickly sat down and helped picking up those things. I picked a box and as I saw it I knew that it was a ring. A proposal ring, I guess. I stood up and faced the one I bumped into.
