Chapter Two

~Kye and Kilala ran through the Temple together after sunset. Not a soul around, and the smooth stone floor made it easy to skate around. It was a secret area in the Temple for higher up members. Kilala said no one ever went in there other than during service. They explored and chased each other around laughing for a while. Kye felt better now that he had met someone who was just as happy to be there as him.
They almost got caught by a few guards and Kye ran all the way back to his bunk. Much like when he was a child running from a scolding parent. He was getting changed when Blaze rolled over the edge of his bunk to look at him.

"I heard there are three Ethelwulf coming back tomorrow from a run. Maybe you'll be picked to work on them."

"How do they know where the Banda are to fight?"

"Old hunting tactics. All the Channing have to learn it and they send out scouting parties like every hour."

Blaze answered.

"Some of those wounds they come back with are scary. I saw one who had gotten bit and it literally melted his skin off. Like just bone. Crazy."

Kye laid in bed and sighed.

"I went running with Kilala."

"Oh look at you. Already hunting the females."

Blaze said laughing. He leaned over and stared at Kye.

"You bang her?"

"No. We ran around, almost got caught, and I came here."

"Uh huh. Keep it in your pants. Olcan can smell it from a mile away, and he likes to catch people."

"Just because he can't doesn't mean I can't. He wanted to be a Channing."

Blazed laughed again and rolled back into bed.

"Good point. Night Kye."

"Good night."

+Crixus awoke the next morning at sunrise. He slowly pushed himself up rubbing his face.

"Good morning Adalwolf."

He gazed down beside him at the female from last night. He couldn't seem to remember her name.

"Morning. There is pig if you want it, but I want another type of meat."

Crixus rolled his eyes and stood up.

"I have things to attend to. You may go."

She gazed at him.

"What's wrong?"

"Just busy. I got back yesterday. Tunstall has things he wants me to do."

"Alright. Shall I come back tonight?"

"No. I want to be alone tonight."

He said getting his clothing on.

"Tell the others to leave me be today."

"Alright. Have a good day Adalwolf."

He heard his door close as he went to find his walking stick. What was her name?

+After eating his breakfast, Crixus went to find the pup. He was a bit harsh on him the day before. He was new. He arrived at the Eden room and found the small pup sitting at a table reading his healing books.
Crixus growled softly, what a bore.

"Pup."

He barked in his best voice. Nearly losing his reserve as Kye jumped off his seat. He jogged over a panicked look in his eyes.
